Y/n pov

I was working on the machine and chris came into the lab "chris you know your not allowed in here" I said being professor otoi's personal mechanic

"Oh how'd you know I was in here" she complained "I could hear your footsteps obviously" I said as I finished putting the final piece in the computer

"Now out" I said pushing her out I closed the door and dusted myself off "hey y/n" I heard nobuhiko and I smiled "hey nobuhiko what's going on" I asked

"Pulse and signal are fighting again" he said I sighed and headed outside I saw them both fighting physically I got annoyed

My eye twitched and I scream at the top of my lungs "KNOCK IT OFF" they both stopped and cover their ears I was glaring at them both

"Honestly you both are acting like children behave yourselves your making me sound like an old lady" I said scolding them both

"Now pulse, signal I want you both to shake hands and call it a day" I said "are you insane I'm not...." I cleared my throat "Pulse" I said scoldingly

"You too signal" I said crossing my arms tapping my fingers signal groaned they shook hands "now pulse let go of him" I said

Pulse listened and they both crossed their arms looking away from each other I can feel my temperature rising I feel odd

Later that night

It was getting hard to breathe and I took my temperature "it's official I'm sick" I said leaning against my pillow I was breathing shallowly

The next day

I heard nobuhiko calling my name "y/n whe...oh wow you don't look so good are you ok" he asked "I have a high fever so I need rest" I said

"Meaning I'm sick and can't get out of bed so try and keep signal and pulse under control" I said as I closed my eyes and fell asleep

Signal's pov

I was arguing with pulse about something "you shut up" I said "is it or do you not have a crush on y/n" he yelled

"No I do not" I said I'm surprised y/n isn't here to stop us yet "Guys calm down" nobuhiko said where is y/n? "You guys stop" he said

"GUYS Y/N IS IN BED WITH A FEVER" nobuhiko yelled we froze when he said that how does she have a fever I thought

"You guys are the ones stressing her out its no wonder y/n is sick" he said I felt a little guilty "she's in her room resting she needs sleep so try not to make so much noise" he said

Pulse went somewhere I looked at y/n's window longingly I sighed and looked towards the ground I really do have a crush on y/n I thought

I tried to distract myself by training but every time y/n entered my mind I stopped midair I sighed "I can't focus" I said

Later that night

I visited her room that night and she looked peaceful sleeping there on her bed I held her hand "I'm sorry for making you sick" I whispered

"I know it doesn't mean much but I don't mean to make you angry" I whispered "I need to get something off my chest so here it goes" I said

"I actually have feelings for you y/n I don't know if I will tell you when you're awake cause I'm actually a coward to tell you when you're awake" I said

"I guess I'm just afraid of you rejecting me if I ever told you" I said as leaned in "I love you a lot" I said and kissed her forehead I walked out I'm an idiot there's no way she could've heard me

Y/n pov

I wasn't asleep I heard every word that signal said I felt something soft on my forehead I heard the door close and tears streaming down my face

I didn't think he'd feel the same about me I have had the longest crush on signal I didn't want him to laugh in my face and say I was crazy

I sighed and buried my face into my pillow I am going to confront him tomorrow I'm going to tell him once and for all

The next morning

I was feeling much better I walked out of my room and saw signal he was training he saw me "hey y/n you feeling better" he asked

I walk closer to him "y/n what is...mph" I cut him off by kissing him on the lips he hesitated but kissed me back he pulled away

"Well I guess your feeling better now" he said "I heard what you said signal I wasn't asleep" I said his face darkened "I..." He said

"I love you too signal" I said kissing him yet again "I thought you'd reject me" he said "not ever would I ever reject you" I said as I kissed him
