Y/n pov

Highschool I never thought I'd be here I sighed and walked inside "alright class we have a new student introduce yourself" the teacher said

I sighed and twirled my hair "my name is y/n l/n nice to meet ya my favorite hobbies are playing videogames and reading comic books" I said

I heard a chuckle at the back of the class and saw a guy with goggles on his head "oh you think this is funny kamiya let's see you in detention for sudden outbursts" the teacher said

Wait kamiya that name sounds familiar I then remembered "Tai...tai kamiya!" I said his eyes widened "y/n is that actually you" he said

"Oh so you both know each other then you can sit next to each other" the teacher said wow that's big karma he used to tease me a lot back in preschool

Two weeks later

Me and tai have been getting along day by day but lately he's been acting weird as if he's trying to hide something from me it's irritating

I looked at the time and sighed he sure is late to class sometimes I'm not gonna lie I've kinda liked Tai for a long time already

I saw tai enter from the corner of my eye he panted from running he rubbed his shoulder and saw me he walked over to me

"Sorry I'm late I was busy doing stuff" he said I puffed up my cheeks "you certainly are busy for a teenager" I said annoyed

"Hey c'mon I'm trying ok I don't mean to be late all the time" he said I looked out the window "yeah right" I said narrowing my eyes

Tai's pov

Great I was late and now y/n is pissed at me I sunk my head low she does have a hard time letting things go but I can't exactly tell her I was battling in the digital world

How would I be able to make it up to her my eyes lit up that's it "hey y/n" I said she glanced at me "hm?" "Let's go to the amusement park I'll treat you as an apology for being late" I said

She sighed "are you trying to please me just so I forgive you" she said with narrowed eyes I sweatdrop "yeees" I said uneasily

She smiled and said "Sure sounds like fun" I exhaled and sighed in relief thank goodness she doesn't hold grudges on others

The next day

Y/n pov

I wonder why Tai is taking me to an amusement park "wait could this be a.... Date" I said I was panicking inside internally

"Hey y/n" I heard making me jump in surprise Tai was in casual clothes he tilted his head in confusion "what's got you so jumpy" he asked

"Oh nothing it's nothing" I said laughing nervously he looked me in the eyes and shrugged "c'mon I'll let you pick" he said pulling my hand

I blushed a very deep Scarlet red I'm freaking out on the inside I was trying to keep it cool on the outside we passed by a crane game

Something in the crane game passed my eye it was a (favorite character plushie) I really wanted it but I'm bad at these games

Tai looked back noticing I wasn't with him he looked at the crane game and smiled "do you want me to get that for you" he said

"Huh what no you don't have to" I said blushing he inserted a quarter inside and he actually got it for me "here you go y/n" he said

I grabbed it and hugged it smiling "thank you taichi" I said happily I just realized what I said I looked at Tai who was blushing

"What'd you just call me?" He asked I blushed and walked away "wait y/n what was that about hey don't ignore me" he said

I breathed "look I know you probably just think of us as friends but I actually... Really like you a lot like in a romantic sense" I said

He just stared at me "oh forget it this is stupid..." "Are you saying your in love with me y/n" he said calmly I blushed and nodded

He smiled softly and lifted my chin up "are you nervous did you think I'd reject you?" He asked I nodded he leaned in and pecked my lips

"I also have feelings for you too" he said smiling at me "Tai is this a date" I asked "it can if you want it to be" he said winking
