"Maybe I should go and check on Y/n..."

Baki spoke over his shoulder, before turning to look at the girl who sat on his bed.

"Baki-"

Kovue began hesitantly.

"-I know since shes your friend you feel the need to-"

"What? Protect her? Well no shit, she's dating a death row inmate!"

Kovue said nothing, her gaze glued to the floor.

"Baki....but don't you remember what Sikorsky said? About Y/n being with him.....willingly?"

Baki sighed heavily, pulling his shirt over his head.

"There's no way, she could be with him willingly! He has to have her against her will, threatening her, blackmail, threatening her family if she leaves- there has to be something!"

Kovue bit her tongue.

"But...you know Sikorsky- he's smart enough to realize that your aware of him being there now- what if he has a trap set? He knows you might go over there Baki...."

"So what? I'm just supposed to let him have his way? Leave Y/n to suffer? I'm strong enough to help her, kovue."

"I never said you weren't."

Baki grabbed his sneakers, slipping them on and tying the laces.

It was quiet for several minutes.

Baki just sat at the end of the bed, not turning to look at Kovue.

"I can't just sit here and do nothing."

"But...what if...Y/n wants this?"

"She wouldn't-"

"And how can you be so sure?"

"............."

"Shes a grown woman Baki. She might not be making the smartest decision but..."

Kovue glanced out the window.

"You can't tell her how to live her life."

Baki propped his elbows on his knees, clearly contemplating his next move.

"Doesn't mean I can't try to convince her otherwise. I know if anyone can talk sense into her it's me."

Kovue sighed.

"Baki-"

Baki jumped up off the bed, throwing the door open and rushing out.

"Hey! Baki wait!"

Kovue called after him to no avail.

................................................

"Hey did you hear? One of those death row inmates have been spotted in Tokyo."

"What? Which one?"

The Canadian mans ears perked a bit, but he took another long haul from his liquor trying to appear non-conspicuous.

"That one blonde guy from russia I think."

"Wha-? Sikorsky???"

"Yeah apparently. Though police have yet to find out where he's been hiding. They've looked in all the obvious places-"

Before the man could finish both men's attention were grabbed by the man standing nearby.

He had to be at least eight or nine feet tall!!!

Both of the men's mouths went dry as the giant lumbered towards the two of them with a dead-serious expression.

"Good-evening gentleman...I couldn't help but over hear...what's all this about a death row inmate from russia?"
