And so it begins

'Of course the one day I have to walk to the bus station the weather is shit.'

You grumbled irritably.

Normally you liked the rain, sure but not when you were outside to be honest.

Maybe in the summer but not when it was chilly outside (fall) to begin with.

......................

'FINALLY jesus christ!'

You thought, quickly darting off of the bus.

Some creepy old dude had stood behind you the whole damn ride and sniffed your hair before you got off! Jesus Tokyo was full of weirdos...

You glanced up at the sign of your workplace as you entered.

'Purple Haze: Gentleman's club.'

(And a message for my more erm.... innocent readers a gentleman's club is just a fancy way of saying a strip club.)

Of course at one in the afternoon it was already busy.

Though it tended to be its busiest in the late night hours.

Probably because that's when the shadier folk came around.

You tossed your jacket aside behind the bar, glancing up to see one of the dancers had sauntered over.

"Hey, Honeybee~"

You greeted smoothly.

"Your usual?"

You questioned.

The blond women smiled and nodded.

"You're early today."

She hummed, leaning against the bar.

You nodded, pouring her drink effortlessly.

"One Shirley temple...Extra cherries and grenadine."

She smiled again.

"Thank you, Sweet Pea."

"And the boss said we had a pretty important group coming in tonight so he asked me to come early so thag I could clean everything up nicely and prepare some extra stuff."

"Oh?"

"Yeah, apparently-"

You leaned in close to the woman and wiggled your brows.

"-They have expensive tastes."

The dancer smirked.

"Sounds like the tips will be good tonight."

You smirked back at the woman.

"I'll be sure the drinks keep flowing~"

You chirped playfully back at the dancer making her laugh.

"Maybe there'll be some younger fellows and I can score myself a mans tonight!"

Firella called out from the stage, making you burst into laughter.

Honeybee laughed too, before prancing away, drink in hand.

You smiled brightly to yourself but couldn't help but ponder a bit.

Who were the group coming in tonight?

Was it someone famous...? Or could it possibly be Yakuza or rich gang members...

You shuddered a bit at the thought.

Sure the money was nice but....

Those men tended to reek of danger.

Not to mention they tended to attract rival gangs and start fights just outside the club when they did.

Finally you sighed, leaning against the bar and brushing some hair out of your eyes.

It wouldn't be that bad...

Right?
