After countless deliberation and rewriting, I had finally arrived at the chance to turn in my composition piece for my final project.

Surprisingly, Suji was my muse and inspiration in it all. Whenever she had free time and wasn't studying or practicing she'd help me bounce ideas and even play the song a couple of times so I could add ornaments to it. She even agreed to perform it as a duet at the school show despite my avid protest since I knew she had countless other pieces to worry about.

But she insisted and for that I was eternally grateful because there was just a lot of detail that would require an extra set of hands.

I had named the composition 'Sea' and the lyrics metaphorically referenced it several times. Similar to 'I Need U,' I would have the guys record it when I saw them next just to have it as another song in the bank. Plus our recording sessions were always so fun so that was a bonus.

I handed the laminated score to our professor who wore an intensely serious expression on his face. He was insanely passionate about music and always talked and taught about it as if it were his sole purpose to live.

My hand shook as I turned it in, but he took it from my hands with such fervor.

"J'attends cela avec impatience," he murmured, almost inaudibly.

It took a second for my brain to translate and realize he was complimenting me. Which might I add is an honor of the highest order.

"Ah, merci beaucoup, Monsieur Legrand," I stumbled over my words.

He gave a wry smile before turning back to his work. I went back to my seat, grabbing my stuff with giddiness in my heart. Being praised by skilled professors who truly valued the craft gave me an extra boost of confidence in what I produced.

I was technically dismissed since this class period was so people could add last minute touches, but since I had worked hard on it already, there was no need.

I had wanted to go wait for Suji while she finished up class and then maybe we could've gone out for a nice lunch. But as life would have it, something a little bigger was in store for me.

"Yoongi-ah! I'm glad I caught you," my foreign exchange counselor smiled.

I greeted her warmly.

"Are you free right now? I need to talk to you about a few housekeeping things," she said.

I frowned in confusion but hesitantly followed her to her office, scrapping the idea with Suji for another time.

She took me into her office, motioning me to sit across from her monitor.

"So end of the year is coming up...pretty exciting right?" She hummed, making that painfully awkward staff to student talk that always made you want to throw up.

I nodded wordlessly, still clueless as to what she could have to discuss with me. Even though it was literally right under my nose.

"Right well with the end of the year comes the end of your scholarship. Your flight home has been paid for in full and all arrangements have been made," she said bluntly.

Her words shattered the wall between fantasy and reality in my brain and almost hit me like train.

This wasn't forever. I wasn't meant to be here for the rest of my life. This originally was just for school.
