Chapter - 33

It's been few minutes since the doctor went inside appa's room.

And me and Tae were still sitting silently.

Y/n - " Tae..."

He turned towards me.

Y/n - " I am sorry...I disturbed you during the night."

I said hesitantly and looked at him.

He stared at me for couple of seconds and then said

Tae - " Shut up!"

Then he again turned to look in the front.

A small smile appeared on my lips..because an old Tae would have answered the same if I said this to him...that's another thing, that I wouldn't have told him this ever.

After few more minutes doctor came out with a nurse by his side, making us both stand.

Y/n - " What happened to him, doctor?"

I asked with a curious worried face.

Dr.Lim - " Don't you know what is wrong with him?"

He said with his hands in his white coats pockets.

This question seemed more like a taunt to me.

I hesitantly shook my head as no.

Tae - " Is it something serious doctor?"

Tae asked with the same worry as me.

Dr.Lim looked at Tae and then back at me.

Dr.Lim - " He is a heart patient for last two years...don't you knew about that?"

I blinked my eyes twice and lowered my head in shame.

Y/n - " N-no."

Doctor scoffed.

Dr.Lim - " Then let me inform you Miss Lee..that your father is my patient for last two years because he has a defaulted natural pacemaker of the heart."

I looked up at him intently to grasp what he is informing.

Dr.Lim - " For the last two years I have been telling him to get a surgery done to implant an artificial pacemaker....but he was delaying it again and again....and on top of that...he visited the hospital just seven times in last two years."

He paused for a second and took a deep breath.

Dr.Lim - " I don't know why was he so careless...and why he didn't wanted this surgery..."

Tae - " Can't we do the surgery now?"

Tae asked desperately, whereas I was dazed

Dr.Lim - " His heart has deteriorated much....now even is AV node is getting defaulted.....that's why he had this sudden attack..........we can do the surgery but..."
