Mark POV:  New Bostin, 2012. Years before the start of the story

Mission Objective: Secure the package and eliminate the target

Mark looked at his new phone. His handler had managed to get him better equipment for the mission at hand. This mission would be an interesting one. He was returning back to his mother's hometown where he was supposedly born also. But he never truly cared about that being honest.

The mission was simple, pretend to be an ordinary elementary schooler for the day, isolate the teacher he was assigned who was harboring intelligence that could possibly undermine the authorities power. The contents of the package were unknown and truth be told Mark didn't care in the slightest bit. He just wanted to please his superiors and climb the ranks.

Anyways he was taking a "tactical rest" during tag at recess. He was told not to use any abilities with a strength level over 1.5 as to limit suspicion. He didn't think that it'd be this hard to chase his peers around. He didn't exactly spend much time around other kids and so when he was chosen as "it" in the game he thought that was a good thing. Ten minutes later and he was wiped. In the corner of his eye, he saw a green-haired girl with her back turned and he (briefly) activated a speed ability to get closer to her. Upon tagging her he sensed an incredibly powerful ability hidden behind a weak shell, taking it at his own leisure. "Maybe this stupid game wasn't such a waste after all" he thought to himself.

The green-haired girl was pretty mad about being caught but she accepted her fate and the game went on.

Later that day, Mark asked the teacher if he could stay after class and ask a few questions on the math homework- the kindly old man gladly accepted of course. And the moment the doors closed, Mark started his plan.

"Thanks for the help Mr. Lannister, it's super cool of you to stay after and help me. Fractions are hard!"

The old man responded with a smile. "Well of course! It's good to see students who care nowadays"

Marks smile faded. He activated his true ability causing his eye to glow red "Tell me Tywin, and I'll only ask once. Where is the package.

the kindly old man smiled one last time "I thought it was beneath the authorities to use children. Guess I was mistaken. If they sent you after me there's no way I'll be able to win. I am many things but a fool isn't one of them."

Mark sensed something was wrong. He thought of what may help him when he realized

Wait a sec, I can just use the abilty I picked up from the grumpy green girl earlier today.

Sensing the future he saw an explosion

Mark coldly responded

"You'd rather destroy the package then give it to me. I can't let that happen"

The teacher simply nodded

Mark then used a telekenetic ability to snap his neck, better to not know where the package was then look around for it. He knew it was in this room he'd just have to look

For a minute he looked at the old man.

"I'm sorry I had to do this grandpa but it really wasn't personal"

When he found a unmarked metal box he tore it open. Only to find what seemed to be a textbook. On it was written,

History of the World 1400-2200

Mark was puzzled. The history of the world was free to access online?

He figured there was something hidden in the book. Something above his paygrade (he wasn't paid anything).
