Arlo POV:
The hum of the engine could be heard, gently over the downpour of the rain in the area. The group had driven almost ten hours to Zeta Sci headquarters in Old York. SPECTRE had betrayed them and they wanted some answers.
Arlo woke up from his nap just in time, the van was approaching a checkpoint by a guard. Sal was driving, and when he was stopped by the guard he sweet talked his way through the checkpoint effortlessly, as a supposed "delivery driver not on the schedule". The van pulled through and the first team got out, and walked towards a manhole which Blyke blasted open. The trio hopped in and closed it behind them.
The plan was..... relatively? Simple is one way to put it. After finding out the floor plan of the base, team one would go through the sewers which would lead to a maintenance room. From the maintenance room, they would have a direct shot at the board room where Zeta Sci executives would be holding an important meeting. The second team would then raid the lab, getting access through a staff elevator hidden taking anything of value and seeing what they've been planning. The final team would walk through the front door and raise hell.
The first team in the sewers would be, Blyke, Isen, Remi
The second team in the labs would be, Arlo, Sal, Al, Billy
The final team raising hell would be, Mark, John, Sera
Evie would stay in the car and act as a getaway driver of sorts, as well as monitor the area for police and "vigilantes" aka undead EMBER agents with malicious intent.
Arlo and the second team walked through the gate. They walked calmly through the rain, Arlo generated a thin barrier to serve as an umbrella to stop them from getting soaked by the downpour of rain. Walking through the door, Arlo was faced with the first major hurdle of his plan. There were two guards checking ID's of the staff walking through a mini checkpoint. He made eye contact with Al, and Al nodded. Al pulled out some fake ID's he made for this specific purpose. The guards didn't bother inspecting them even more then they needed to be, so Arlo walked through without any issues at all. The second half of their plan would start soon enough.
As Arlo and his mobster friends entered the staff elevator, they were stopped by an angry man in a rush. "MOVE OUT OF THE WAY I GOTTA GET TO THE MEETING FLOOR ASAP!"
The only issue was that the meeting floor was at the very top..... and if the doors opened and they saw the trio up in the room, the three of them would assume something went wrong and that would result in something bad happening. Too much chaos.
Arlo gulped and Sal looked like he knew what he was doing so he trusted him. As the doors closed, Sal and Billy made eye contact and nodded. Sal activated his acid ability and punched the man with an acid punch, he began to scream and Sal motioned for Arlo. Arlo activated his barrier, and as the man used his strength ability to punch the barrier it shattered his arm and he passed out from that.
Arlo gagged upon seeing the bone. It was gross. Sal picked up a nametag and cursed very loudly.
Arlo was worried and paniced.. "What is it?" Sal looked at Arlo. "Well we just whacked the vice president of this company. Now everyone will be after us." Arlo had an idea however
"Wait! Sal! Burn a hole in the bottom of the elevator shaft and push him down, he won't be found for a while....." Billy patted Arlo on the shoulder. "I like the way you think kiddo!" Billy nodded at Sal and a hole was burned and a body was pushed just as the doors opened on the lab floor.
It was go time
Isen POV: He was crawling through the sewers with his friends, and to be honest he was very frustrated with it. He had just seen a rat the size of a small dog and he was wondering if there were any bigger rats, because that rat was skinny looking. Which meant there was something bigger. Remi had her ability activated to keep moving forward in a light source. Isen was frustrated with it, but they were relatively close to where they needed to be. Soon enough, they had arrived. There was a big ladder and Blyke started climbing it right away. It was clear that he hated the smell down there and he wanted out of that place. Remi climbed the ladder second, and Isen followed last. As they reached the target zone, Blyke blasted open a locked hatch. The three of them climbed out, they seemed to be in some sorta janitor closet.
