Mark POV: It was the end. He knew what he had to do.
He had been up late last night after he had received a phone call. Around 2am last night, the group parked in a forest so they could rest before deciding on the course of action. Mark knew he was responsible for the troubles. And he had to end this fast.
He elected to go with the hardest choice possible.
He gently kissed Evie on the forehead and left the group, activating a flight ability and soaring away.
The only evidence of his departure would be dried tears the next morning

The boss had made a phone call. The leader of the authorities.
Mark was on his way, it was time to end this once and for all
