Remi POV: Middle of nowhere, an empty field without anything around for miles.
Remi was nervous, after walking about an hour from a deserted train station, she was almost at the location. If this went south, no one could help.
She mentally thought over their plan one last time.
If negotiations go south, Blyke and I will have to use our secret weapon.
A few weeks ago Remi had discovered ability amps and their usage. She despised having to maybe use them but if her life was at risk she'd have no choice at all.
There were only two amps that they had taken from an EMBER agent a few weeks ago. Isen agreed to let the stronger two use them.
Soon she saw what seemed to be a sign.

They walked in the gates and saw a whiteboard.

Remi motioned for Blyke and Isen to follow and they followed suit.
Just then, out of the ground emerged a man wearing a black hood with what seemed to be a mask with no face or expression on it. Just a black mask with no eye holes or anything.
Is this Rei's killer? I need to see if the back of his hood has tally marks in it to confirm
"WHO ARE YOU! WHY DID YOU BRING US HERE! WHAT DO YOU WANT"
The Pink haired girl screamed this at him at the top of her lungs
"You're in no position to negotiate-this is a formal threat. End your activities or face the full wrath of the law. If you don't hand over the amps you have in your pocket and tell me everything you've learned, you're gonna have a bad time"
Remi pondered her options for a few seconds before deciding on standing up for what she believed in.
"And what if I refuse"
The man simply shrugged
"You'll find out soon enough"
He took his hands out of his pocket and seemingly reached for something
Just then a red energy blast hit him from his side
He turned his direction
"Not even gonna give me a chance huh?- Well fine so be it"
Remi was shocked about what happened next. The man in the hood raised his hand and the ground began to shake
She collapsed on the ground from the strength of the tremor along with Blyke. Isen was able to stay balanced part in thanks to his ability. He lunged at the man before getting swatted away
Blyke looked at me desperately "NOW OR NEVER REMI" he shouted this
I reached into my pocket for my amp when a strong hand grabbed my wrist
He twisted it and grabbed my amp before chucking it away
Blyke was about to use his when the man kicked him in the chest causing him to go flying.
