Sophie was officially heartbroken. She didn't know until Linh told her. Apparently, she was going through a "stage". It was a good thing that it was winter break.

"Hey Soph," A soft voice from the door said. "Can I come in?" They asked.

"No," Sophie hiccuped, while enclosing herself in all of her pillows and blankets.

"Well too bad because I'm coming in anyways!" Linh exclaimed as she barged through the door, an angry expression on her face. "You can't just push everyone away!" She said.

"Meh." Sophie said from underneath all of her blankets.

"Sophie Elizabeth Foster got out of bed right now!" Linh screeched as she yanked the blanket off of Sophie.

A "Hisssssssss" sound came out of Sophie's mouth as Linh opened the blinds.

"Soph, you mean a lot to me, and I can't see you like this any longer!" Linh sighed as she rolled Sophie off of her bed, and Sophie fell onto the ground, her face smooshing into the soft flowered carpet.

"I'm sorry. You mean a lot to me too, Linh." Sophie said, as Linh stuck her hand out to help Sophie up. Sophie grabbed it and said,

"But not enough to do this!" And pulled Linh to the ground too.

"Oof." Linh said, as she fell onto the carpet. Both girls giggled as they struggled to get up, both girls leaning on each other, then tumbling back down. After they got over their laughing fit, they gave up trying to get up, and sat on Sophie's carpet.

"So what do you usually do when you're sad?" Linh asked, rubbing Sophie back just like Edaline did it.

"I usually write songs I guess." Sophie said, plopping onto her neatly made bed, courtesy of Linh.

"You should write a song!" It could be your first heart-break song!" Linh exclaimed, pulling out Sophie's guitar.

"And I'll finally be able to help you out!" Linh squealed.

"Okay!" Sophie said as she jumped up in excitement. Sophie hadn't been happy for the past few days and being happy made her feel SOOOOOO much better. Linh's iPhone made a sound that sounded like a dog barking, so Linh picked it up and read the text message.

"Ugh. Tam wants me back to the house, something about my cat wrecking his collection." Linh sighed as she sadly walked over to Sophie. "I'm sorry that I can't help out, hopefully you can write it on your own."

"Aww, okay, I'll try. You'll be the first to hear it! Also, good luck calming Tam down," Sophie smirked, she knew when Tam was mad, he was really mad.

"Thank you, I need all the help I can get." Linh sighed nervously, not wanting to go home. Then her phone barked again.

"Ugh, got to go. Bye! I'll look forward to hearing your song!" Linh yelled to Sophie as she ran out the door to her bike.

"I still remember the third of December, me in your sweater. You said it looked better in me than it did in you. Only if you knew how much I like you. But I watched your eyes as she walked by. What a sight for sore eyes. Brighter than the blue sky. She's got you mesmerized while I die." Sophie sang, pouring out all her heartbroken emotions into this one song. She didn't even notice the tear rolling down her cheeks as she finished singing the song. Sophie's song had so much emotion, it was like nothing Sophie had ever written, or heard. She knew this might be the best song she had ever written. When she finished writing down the lyrics, she turned on her ipod and played the song, What About Us, by P!nk.

She started rocking out to it. Singing it to her heart's content. This song had gotten her through a lot of hard times. She really needed this.

"What about us! What about all the plans that ended in disaster. What about love, what about trust! What about us!" Sophie sang, letting the lyrics sink in. What she did not expect was Keefe sanding in the doorway. His jaw went all the way to the floor, staring at the sight in front of him.

Well then. Ya know, that is the song I sing all the time when I feel down in the dumps too. Sophie, I feel like you and I could literally be identical twins. (Or perhaps even the same person...)
