Bob let Alex go in the closet first before he followed. He turned off his torch, panting as Alex shut her eyes and held her breath. As they stood in the closet, Alex looked down at the light and saw two shadows there, letting her know the monster was right outside the door. They heard the monster growling softly as Alex let a tear slip out of eye. Alex saw the monster's head get close to the floor before it slowly went back up and walked away. The two both let out sighs of relief as they looked at each other. Alex put her hand over her mouth as she broke into silent tears.

"Jesus Christ," came Owens voice from the walkie-talkie, "okay. How you holding up there, Bob and Alex? You all right?"

"I want Mike," Alex sobbed quietly out as Bob wrapped her in a hug.

"We'll see Mike soon," Bob said as Alex hugged him back, nodding.

"You got a pretty clear shot to the front door," Owens said as Alex and Bob let go of each other.

"Okay," Bob said as Alex took a shaky breath and ran her hands through her hair.

"You can do this, okay?" Owens said, "both of you. You're almost home free, all right?"

"Okay," Alex said as Bob opened the closet door. As he opened the door however, a broom fell out, making it slam against the floor. Alex's eyes went wide as she turned to Bob who was staring in front of them. Alex looked up and saw the monster had stopped walking and turned around, growling softly as it pointed its flower head at them.

"RUN!" Owens yelled and the two of them sprinted down the corridor towards the entrance.

"Shit there's three of them!" Alex screamed as she turned around.

"Keep going!" Bob yelled as they turned the corner and ran down it. The monster let out a screech as Bob an Alex ran through double doors, Bob shutting it behind them. As they arrived in the main reception area of the building, two monsters burst through either side door, and began growling at Bob and Alex. Alex had the red energy balls appear at her hands as she held out at opposite ends as she blasted the monsters back.

"Bob!" Alex yelled as she turned behind her to look at him, the jets of red energy pushing the monsters back, "get to the others!" Alex turned around to face the entrance of the building and saw Joyce and Mike where standing there. Joyce was holding Mike back as the boy desperately tried to run to Alex.

"Alex!" Mike was yelling, his voice breaking with tears as he stared at him. She smiled sadly at him before turning around to look at Bob.

"I can't leave you," Bob said, standing closer to the door they just ran out off, "I promised."

"Bob," she said turning her head around, "tell her you love her." Bob smiled at her.

"Not before you tell him you love him," he said as she smiled. But Alex's blue eyes shifted to behind her and before Alex could open her mouth to yell, a monster ran towards Bob and threw him to the ground. He crashed into Alex, causing the girl to go flying to the ground and causing the red energy to blast the monsters into each other, somehow destroying them. She didn't care about the deep cut on her forehead that was oozing blood down the side of her face and into her blonde hair. She heard Joyce scream as Alex looked up and saw Bob wrestling with the monster.

"NO!" Alex screamed as she struggled to get to her feet. Once she stood up, she raised her left hand, but before she could blast the red energy at the monster, it sunk its claws into Bob's side. Blood splattered all over Alex as she stood there, covered head to toe in both her blood and Bob's. Her hands were shaking as Hopper came running in, a machine gun in his hand as he began shooting at the monster, the bullets bounced off it. The monster opened it's flower head and sunk its many teeth into Bob's neck, making the man scream in pain. Two more of the monsters came in and Alex's eyes glowered red and before she could cause any damage to them, she felt herself being lifted by the waist.
