They were walking down the corridor, Hopper with his gun and a torch as Alex and Eleven walked beside him. They turned left around the corner but before Alex followed them, she looked behind them making sure nothing was following them before she hurried after Hopper and Eleven. They walked down the stairwell and slowly came to a stop when they saw blood on the handle and heard someone grunting.

"Stay here," Hopper said to the two girls as he slowly walked down the staircase. The two girls stayed here they were as Hopper looked at who was grunting in pain. " Oh, shit. Hey, Doc." He took off his gun and hurried to Owens. "Those suckers got you pretty good, huh? It's okay, don't talk," they heard Hopper say as he took his belt off, "don't talk. I got you. I got you. I got you."

The two girls looked at each other before making their way down the saircase. Owens looked up and saw the two girls.

"H-Hi Alex," Owens managed to get out as the blonde smiled.

"Hey Doc," she said smiling weakly. Owens looked at Eleven, confused about who she was. "This is Eleven. Eleven, Doc Owens. Doc Owens, Eleven."

"She's been staying with me for about a year and she's about to save our asses with Alex," Hopper said, "maybe when this is all said and done, maybe you could help her out, too, you know? Maybe you could help her lead, like, a normal life. One where she's not poked and prodded and. . . . treated like some kind of lab rat, you know? I don't know, just a thought," he added as he pulled the belt tighter and Owens groaned in pain. Hopper gripped his shoulder and looked at him. "But, uh, think about it." He gave him a handgun before saying, "Don't go anywhere." Owens chuckled softly as he watched the three of them carry on down the stairwell.

As the three of them walked down the stairs, they made their way towards the elevator that was going to lead them to where the part of the lab where the demo-dogs first arrived. As they got closer, they heard the growling of a demo-dog and they froze.

"Stay here," Hopper said before slowly walking forward, leaving the two girls alone.

They both held onto each other's hand as they were breathing heavy. They watched as Hopper walked towards a room and stopped at the doorframe. He put his torch away and slowly walked in as the two girls heard the demo-dogs growling get louder.

"Shit," they heard Hopper whisper as they looked at each other. "Come on," Hopper whispered and the two girls slowly walked towards him and the three of them stood in front of the large glass wall where the first demo-dog arrived. The two girls looked t each before staring at the gate, their eyes fixed on it.

"Chief are you there?" came Jonathon's voice from the walkie, "Chief, do you copy?"

"Yeah I copy," Hopper said back.

"Close it," Jonathon said, breathing heavy as Alex took a deep breath. They all looked at each other before walking into the elevator platform and making their way all the way to the gate. Alex and Eleven held each others hand tightly while Alex leant over and held Hopper's. She smiled weakly at him before facing the gate. The gate was a large, glowing red and black throbbing hole that made Alex get worried. Hopper stopped the elevator and turned to the girls.

"Let's close this son of a bitch," Alex said, making the red energy balls appear at her hand and her eyes began to glow red.

She looked at Eleven and the two girls nodded at each other and Hopper took a step back. They both held out their hands and began using their powers to try and close the gat. A blast of bright red energy left Alex's hand as she pointed it at the gate. It began to glow brightly as a loud screeching was heard and the outline of the shadow monster could see seen on the other side. Alex's eyes went wide as she stared at the monster. Alex held out her other hand, allowing another blast of red energy to close the gate. Demo-dogs began surrounding them, almost attacking the two girls if it wasn't for Hopper shooting them.
