Alex looked up and saw Eleven stand a distance away, trying to crush an empty coke can with her mind. It wasn't crushing, so the blonde walked over to her and put a hand on her shoulder.

"Hey," the blonde said as Eleven turned around. "Are you okay?" Eleven looked away from her sister and at the can as the blonde held her hand. "It's okay." Eleven squeezed her hand as the blonde smiled. Alex rested her head on Eleven's shoulder as the two girls stared at the can. It was silent until Alex heard what she thought sounded like glass.

"NANCY!" Mike yelled.

Alex and Eleven both turned around and looked up, only to see something large crawling and stomping on the skylight. The glass was clinking as Alex groaned.

"Oh not again," she said as Eleven looked at her.

"Powers," Eleven said as Alex looked at her hands then at the creature who was snarling, almost starting down at them as if it was trying to find a way to get to them.

"Mike," Alex said as the brunette hurried over to her.

"Are you okay?" Mike asked quickly.

"Get El to safety," she said softly, looking at Mike then at the monster. Mike's eyes went wide.

"No," he said shaking his head, "I can't leave you."

"Mike," Alex said her eyes watering, "please. I need you to trust me on this."

"I can't leave you Alex," he said as she put a hand on his cheek. "I promised you I would never leave you again." Alex gave a watery chuckle as she nodded.

"I know," she said as silent tears fell from Mike's eyes. "I know you did," she went on her tiptoes and hugged him tightly. Mike quickly responded by wrapping his arms around her waist and burying his head in Alex's shoulder. "I'll be okay."

"Alex, that thing wants to kill you," he said, letting go of her.

"I'd rather it kill me than you," the blonde said. Lucas, Max, Eleven, Will, Jonathon and Nancy had all walked over to the blonde who was almost in tears. "All of you," she said looking around, "get the hell out of here."

"No," Mike said sternly as Alex looked at him. "I'm not leaving."

"You are the first boy who made me feel loved, and powerful, and visible," she said, "you are my first love. And I want more than anything for you to be my last, but I need you all to leave." Nancy and Jonathon looked at each other in awe as they just heard Alex basically admitting she loves Mike. Before any of them could respond, the glass shattered and the monster came slamming down, landing with a thud. "GO!" Alex screamed, throwing her arm out and practically throwing the others to safety. The monster let out a loud and painful screech as Alex's eyes and hands glowed red as she tilted her head to the left slightly.

Alex was hiding behind a store counter, breathing shakily as she cried silent tears. She had a large cut going across her abdomen, a thin but slightly deep cut starting from her temple and going down to her cheek bone, she had blood coming out of both nostrils and her bottom lip was split.

"Griswold Family, this is Scoops Troop! Do you copy? Over!" came Dustin's voice from Mike's walkie-talkie he left lying on the ground, "Griswold Family, I repeat, this is Scoops Troop. Do you. . . ." but the creature grabbed the walkie-talkie with one of it's tentacles and shrieked, cutting Dustin off. "Griswold Family, do you copy? Do you copy?!"
