When I woke up in Monday, it was to an empty house, well really it was someone knocking on my bedroom door but the house was still very much empty. None of my brothers were home so it was just me, the maids and the guards.
Yes, maids. My brothers had more money than I thought. Apparently, the maids were laid up for a couple of weeks while I grew used to living in LA so I wasn't overwhelmed with the large number of people in the house at all times. The were brought back the Saturday after my first session with Dr Collins.
It took some getting used to, especially when I was woken up at 9 AM on a Saturday morning by a maid, my own personal maid at that, which was a shock in itself when I found out, wanting to clean my bedroom.
I got up of course, and then hounded Elijah and Ryder who were having breakfast at home -at a reasonable time- for the first time in three days. Elijah explained it all to me, and I was stuck in the kitchen with two of them while they busied themselves on their laptops and I waited for my room to be cleaned.
Around forty five minutes, maybe an hour later, Maria finished up my room and I was introduced to her.
Maria was assigned by Darius and Luciano as my personal for the fact that she was young, female and knew how to handle a teenage girl. It was explained to me that anything I needed, I had to go to Maria if my brothers weren't around. In return, it was Maria's responsibility to make sure that on days I didn't have school, meaning the suspension and weekends, she had to make sure I was always awake before 10 AM and I had my three daily meals. The rest, my brothers trusted me enough to see to myself.
It wasn't hard getting acquainted with Maria. She was sweet, had an attitude just like me, and she spoke Spanish.
Maria's knocking on my bedroom door stopped when I pulled the door open.
"Morning." I mumbled in a groggy, sleep-infused voice, still using my fists to rub the remaining sleep out of my eyes.
"Morning." Maria's perky voice greeted back, "Okay you shower, brush your teeth, whatever you do to get ready for the day then come downstairs for breakfast, cool?"
"Mhm." I hummed, barely registering the words coming out of her mouth.
"Cool," Maria nodded, "and don't go back to sleep."
