Awkward silence filled the living room, all occupants dead still.

That was until Damon leaned forward in his seat, elbows resting on his knees, "Okay, you saw us, we saw you. Can we all go back to what we were doing? I'm not going to graduate by participating in your faux family reunions." He added in a fake smile at the end for good measure.

Adrian coughed to hide the laugh bubbling up in her chest and in return, Damon shot her a troublesome smirk.

After all, they were both battling a mutual enemy and in times like those, the enemy of an enemy is a friend.

Seconds later that smirk was wiped off his face and replaced with a scowl when a stern voice snapped, "Stai zitto ragazzo. Non è così che si parla ai tuoi anziani."

"Shut up, boy. That is not how to talk to your elders."

Damon scoffed, leaning back in his seat, muttering under gsi breath, "Fuck off, bitch."

"Darius, è così che lo lasci parlare con i suoi anziani?" The oldest of the mystery snapped at Darius in the same manner as she did Damon.

"Darius, is this how you let him talk to his elders?"

Darius remained ever-so-calm with his response, "Non posso controllare le sue azioni. I suoi ventidue anni, Marianne."

"I can't control his actions. His twenty two years old, Marianne."

The woman, Marianne, scowled at Darius, "Non importa. Sei cattivo quanto lui."

"It doesn't matter. You're just as bad as him."

In true Darius fashion, he have no reaction to her words and instead opted to lean back against the couch, displaying his obvious disregard towards the situation at hand.

"Damon aveva ragione, Marianne. Volevi vederci tutti e l'hai fatto." Luciano's impassive voice attracted the attention of Marianne.

"Damon had a point, Marianne. You wanted to see all of us and you did."

"C'è un problema con me che voglio vedere i miei nipoti," Marianne directed her attention away from Luciano and instead towards Adrian, her eyes narrowing slightly, "e mia nipote?"

"Is there a a problem with me wanting to see my nephews,"

"and my niece?"
