"You sure talk a lot of smack for someone who can't even work up the courage to ask someone for their number." Derek murmured.
"Fine, consider my courage worked up!"
I watched Camila's confidence falter with each step she took towards the new, and intriguing, students until she stood in front of them with her back to us.
Vaguely, I heard the four boys making jokes about how she wouldn't be able to do it but really, I wasn't listening. I was instead watching the other two boys, Sebastian and Alexander.
Their facial expressions kept changing during their conversation with Camila. Confusion morphed to curious, curious morphed to amusement, amusement morphed to questioning when they spared each other, and our a group, a glance and then I heard Mike, Vallyk, Derek and Kobe's scoffs and exclaims of both pride and disbelief when Camila whipped out her phone from her back pocket.
When Camila turned around, our group was met with a tooth grin as Camila squealed her way towards us. When she was close enough, she whisper-shouted, "I got their numbers both!"
Mike snorted, raising a questioning eyebrow at the statement, "You got their numbers both?"
"Shut up! You know what I mean." Camila hissed, "But holy shit, I got both their numbers!" She was ogling her phone, her fingers moving across the screen.
Curiosity got the best of me and I found myself peering over Camila's shoulder as she texted both numbers. The top of her conversation list had both their names in bold, black letters with "Sebby" right on top and "Alex" underneath.
"Shit, how'd you manage to score both?" Kendall mumbled disbelievingly loud enough for everyone to hear.
"No idea." Camila shrugged, the grin never leaving her face and the she was squealing again, "One of them is texting back!"
"Who?" Kobe asked.
"Never mind, both of them are." Camila looked up at Kobe. "Kinda sucks that we have lunch with the Seniors and not the Sophmores."
Derek scoffed, "You weren't complaining when you got to ogle Adrian's brothers all through lunch."
"Shut up." Camila rolled her eyes at him and pocketed her phone, turning attention turning to me, "Hey, speaking of your brothers, when are they coming back?"
