Sykkuno was helping Asher organize some documents. Especially up in the higher shelves that he was unable to reach.

Nox was helping as well, standing by his side. However, Sykkuno flinched when he heard the sound of loud footsteps. He began to panic more when he learned those footsteps were coming towards him. "It should be fine. I doubt anything will happen," he reassured himself.

The door flung open, and The King and Corpse walked in. "You!" he bellowed, pointing his finger at the herbalist. "Your just lowly scum, aren't you?!"

"Father-"

"Cadáver, please, be quiet for once in your life."

Sykkuno began to tremble, "Did he find out?"

"Stand on your feet, boy."

Sykkuno obeyed and stood up, leaning against the bookshelf. Asher was clinging onto his sleeve tightly.

"Thank you, Nox. I'll make sure you are rewarded." The King said. Sykkuno swayed his head to look at the other. Nox looked back, "What?"

"Why- what did you do?" Sykkuno peeped. Nox smiled like how he usually did, but instead, his eyes were different. They held delight. And so much of it.

"You aren't the best at keeping a secret. I've heard your conversations with Ludwig. I've known this entire time." Nox reveals. "Granted, I thought your plan was good, so good in fact I thought I could get some money out of it." he looks at Sykkuno and sighs. "I'm sorry, I really am. But this is the way it has to be. I pledged to stay loyal to The King."

"No.." Ludwig breathed out behind him.

The King sighed in annoyance. "Guards! Please take that one to the cells," he gestured to Ludwig. "This one, however," he looked down at Sykkuno. "Have him thrown out the city. He shall never return."

"You're going to exile him?!" Corpse hollered. At this point, the other herbalists ran back to the dorms. Corpse could yell as loud as he wanted. He looked longingly at Sykkuno.

"Yes, but don't worry, we'll make sure he heads away from Ambrose. We don't want you heading over to those idiots now do we?" The King announced. "We have to remove any and all traitors within our fields."

"Then get rid of me too!" Corpse yelled.

"Please, son, you're staying here." The King chuckled as he walked away from the medical wing while Sykkuno was being pulled aside.

"I'm a traitor too!"

"Heh, I'm sorry?"

Corpse looked back at Sykkuno, who shook his head.

"I went to Ambrose, not to bond with Emma, but to tell The Royal Family about what you're doing."

The King narrowed his eyes. "Never would I have thought-"

"You should have thought since you've been treating me like shit for my whole life!"

The King didn't weep or yell. Instead, he laughed. "That's fine with me! Your cousin could easily take your place as the heir."

Corpse let his mouth hang, then closed it up quickly. "Fine then, at least send me with him!"

"I did say we'd have to rid ourselves of traitors. There's no exception for you."

"I wouldn't be losing someone of value anyway."

Sykkuno and Corpse were walking side by side, holding hands. Two guards were escorting them away from Offpire, in a direction away from Ambrose as well. They had been walking for over three hours now. The King doesn't want them coming back.
