They arrive at the Battle Pike, seeing Lucy, the Frontier brain. Brock has heart eyes and flirts with Lucy, who in turn flirts back, feeling a crush for Brock as well.

Max sighed and said "Alright, I wont stop Brock from being with Lucy."
Barbara also sighs and says "If Lucy is happy, I wont stop her from being happy. But if he screws up, he's dead."

Ash sweated nervously and said "Duly noted."
After lunch, to which Brock was the one to cook this time to impress Lucy more.

"This is absolutely delicious Brock!" Lucy said, clearly happy, Brock was also happy, seeing her pokemon eat.

"I have to say Lucy, you've done a great job of raising your pokemon. Especially your Seviper and Milotic."

Lucy smiled and thanked Brock.
"Anyways Ash, are you ready for our battle?"

Gyarados goes after Aron with Hydro Pump, but Aron dodges and uses Shock Wave, it being super effective at the water and flying type Gyarados and defeats it with Rock Tomb.

They return their pokemon and Lucy sends put Dragonair while Ash sends out Absol.

Dragonair sets up with Dragon Dance as Absol too sets up, but with Swords Dance.

Dragonair goes after Absol with Dragon Rush, but Absol dodges and defeats Dragonair with a single Night Slash.

They return Dragonair and Absol, Lucy now sending out Gorebyss and Ash sends out Sceptile.

Gorebyss uses Dive and Sceptile charges up a Solar Beam, waiting for Gorebyss to show up.

Gorebyss charges at Sceptile, but Sceptile intercepts with Solar Beam and cleans up with Leaf Blade.
