Being man handled by two Romanian nomads is not how Cayde pictured his morning to go. Tomorrow was the day the volturi was to arrive and for some reason they decided to bring Cayde along.
It brought the some reassurance but by the looks some of the governs were giving they didn't agree. Cayde was quiet the whole time and didn't put up a fight. Honestly he look like shit. Deprived of blood and locked into a dark room made him weak. He hated it.
Once they made it to the campsite he was chained to a tree force to listen to the group tell war stories all of which he could care less about. When the Romanians started to speak his lifeless eyes turned into a glare. They were nothing but rude dragging him around and talking in him the whole walk here. He wanted them dead.
At this point he wanted everyone dead. No one spoke up on his behalf. The looks they shared and looks of pity won't enough for him either. He want heads to roll. With that thought in mind he glanced at the child who was watching him sadly. The only one who knew his fears something he kept from everyone.
Morning came quickly and he still didn't utter a sound. They dressed his up and a black cloak to hide who he was and to conceal the chains and as they stood in an open field with him in the back he wondered just how angry his bonded family would be."Cayde I know you probably hat is but know we did this for you." Carlisle spoke up glancing towards youngest
"Cut the bullshit. If you cared you wouldn't have locked him up like some animal" Rosalie snarled being held back by her mate" it always been about Edward above all else "
"Babe it ok" Emmett mumbled pulling her into his chest."it's her fault" he added glancing a Bella who frowned
"Of course it is, we said bringing a human around would cause trouble" Rosalie agreed glaring at Bella
"I didn't do anything " Bella mumbled before glancing at Caydes weaken body
"It all started with you" Rose yelled not caring about the other vampires surrounding them."Alice had to leave to stay safe and Cayde is being treated like a criminal by his only father figure"
"That's enough" Carlisle piped up glancing at his children"I know this is-"
Carlisle was interrupted by a laugh. All eyes went to Cayde who was laughing. "Look how destroyed your covern is. I hope it was all worth it for Edwards pet" Cayde mumbled more amused at the situation then anything."how long before Eddy finds his real mate and not his blood singer" he added on."so desperate for his happiness that is not even there"
The field got quiet after that. Letting his words sink in."your risking everyone's life for the child, that I can understand but Isabella will be pushed aside sooner or later. There not mates and you know it and perhaps I was never your son. You saved my life but I know you regret it. Admit it Carlisle you have always hated but now I can say I hate you just the same"
"Guys the red coats are coming" Garrett mumbled.
At that moment the volturi walked onto the field but the damage was already done. The whiteness didn't know what to do. They believed Carlisle was in the wrong and wanted to help Cayde but looking at him now they knew he was now just a broken teenager filled with hatred.
Cayde on the other hand instantly looked at Jane who didn't notice him. He had missed her and even can say he missed his bonded family too. He was leaving today and never coming back that much he knew. He didn't look away from Jane until the child was brought in front of Aro. She had touched his check showing him he memories.
Aro laugh instantly filled the quiet field."there is something else you should know" the child spoke glancing at her parents with a small glare before holding out her hand that Aro took. His smile instantly dropped and his eyes shot up meeting Cayde ." You imprisoned Cayde "Aro snarled
Everyone tensed up hearing Aro anger. "Bring him forward before your all killed without a second thought" Cauis snarled glancing the crowd for his son along with the elite guard. No one made a move. That was until Benjamin walked to the back of the crowd
"What are you doing" one of the nomads questioned
"What I should have done in the beginning" Benjamin used his gifts to push the two away before grabbing Cayde who could barely stand on his own. Carlisle went to stop him but the Irish covern stood in his way
"You shouldn't treat your own covern this way, sorry my friend" garret added on picking Cayde up and bringing him the rest of the way. Marcus instantly took the his weakened nephew into his arms since he was closer
"Let's continue with this trial but don't think your get away with hurting the prince " Aro mused glaring at Carlisle who sighed and motioned for his son to return
"Hey kid." Cayde mumbled looking at her" you did good" he mumbled watching her smile brightly at him
"And you deserve better" she mumbled walking away
