Monday Morning

I wake up and instantly dread today. I shake my head, trying to not think about it. Today, I will see everyone. All of the people who made my life a living Hell for far too long. Tony is taking me to school today, then he will go to the Avenger's head quarters and watch my day through the contacts. Around lunch time, he will come and pick me up, checking me out a little bit early, and we will go somewhere and eat, but he will be wearing a hat and glasses, along with what he calls, 'commoner clothes.'

I get ready, putting the contacts in and look at myself in the mirror. I sigh, putting on a little more mascara. I look at my outfit, and see how different it is compared to me normally. I have my hair down and straitened, it going down to my waist because I wanted it long, and now I have curtain bangs. I also have on a necklace that is sliver and has a simple sliver disk attached to it. I am wearing my af1's and some loose ripped jeans. For a top, I am wearing a white cropped tank top and a red and brown plaid over-shirt.

I look at myself one more time, and sigh. My make-up is different, having a dark lip that contrasts my pale skin perfectly and some winged eye-liner. I go over to my closet and open it, heading over to where my bags are. I grab a brown clip up one and put all of my things in it. I close my closet door after grabbing some round sun glasses, and walk downstairs, grabbing an apple.

Once I am done eating, Tony comes in the room and says, "Good morning kid. Woah. What's with the change of outfit?" I look at him and say, "It is a type of disguise to try and help them not recognize me, hopefully. Gonna be a whole different person this week, clothing wise. This week, I'm gonna be Marinette Stark, the daughter of the famous Iron Man and inventor."

He freezes and looks at me, and I grab a water out of the fridge, plopping it in my bag and asking, "What?" He smiles and says, "You said daughter of the famous iron man. Daughter."

I blush a little and say, "Are you okay with that?" He nods and hugs me. "I'd be honored to have someone like you as a daughter." I smile and hug him back, feeling safe in his arms while he caresses my head with his hand. I pull away, and say, "Let's get this week over with."

I get out of the car and some people look at me, but not many. I go up to Peter and tap him on the shoulder, saying, "Hey." He looks at me and his eyes go wide, and he blushes a little. "New look?" He asks, and I nod, saying, "Kinda. More like a disguise from my old class." He nods, and I notice that a lot more people are out here than normal.

"What's going on?" I ask, wondering why so many people are out. Ned says, "People want to see the students." I sigh, and just shake my head. "They are not interesting people, just mean and snobby if you get on their bad side. All of them are nice except for Chloe and Lila." After I say this a few busses pull up, and I grab onto Peter's arm, needing his support. He takes my hand in his, and squeezes it. I put my hand next to our sides, and turn towards the busses.

The other two classes get off, along with the principal and Ms. Mendeleiev, and a teacher that I don't recognize. Once the first bus is done emptying out the second one pulls up, and I take a sharp breath in as Ms. Bustier gets out of the bus. "That's them." I say, to no one in particular. I begin to squeeze Peter's hand, and he holds on just as tight, not letting go.

The first person off of the bus is Chloe, and I mutter her name. Next is Alix, then Kim, then Ivan, Mylene, Sabrina, Nathanial, Max, Rose, Julika, Nino, which hurts to see him, then Alya, and it feels like a dagger went through my heart, then Adrien, who just makes me want to cry, then the fox her-self, Lila, who I want to kill.

I hear a slight whimper and I look to my left, seeing that it was Peter who was making that noise. "I have super human strength and you are killing my hand." I look down and apologize, not realizing that I was holding on so tight. Soon, a few people go up to the beast of a class and introduce them selves. I take off my sun glasses and put them in my bag, not taking my eyes off of them. I look at Adrien, and he looks around for a second. Somehow, in a crowd with almost 100 people, with me in the back, piercing emerald green eyes meet deep, mysterious ocean eyes.

I instantly look away, making sure he wasn't still looking at me. He was, for a second, but then shrugged and turned the other way. Suddenly the bell rings, and I disappear in a matter of seconds.

I get to class, and so does everyone else. The teacher is a sub, which I am grateful for. I see the French teachers walking around and putting a few students in different classrooms, and I hope that none of them recognize me when they are assigned to this room. Unfortunately, Alya gets assigned to my room. I just sigh, and slouch in my chair a little. Luckily, the seat next to me is taken, so she doesn't sit next to me, but in the seat on the table to my left, making her too close for comfort.

I suddenly remember that the sub will have to call out names for roll-call, and I begin to panic. I just take a deep breath, and sigh. I see Alya looking at me, and I give her a slight smile and a wave. She does it back, and it makes me want to throw up. The teacher begins to call out roll, and soon, he gets close to my name. "Edward Leeds" "Here." Ned says. "Michelle Jones" "Here. But call me M.J." The teacher nods, and puts a check mark next to her name. "Peter Parker" "Here." He says, and I know my name is next.

"Marinette Stark" I sigh with relief, and say, "Here." But everyone -even Alya who has a translator by her- looks at me. "Um..." I say, looking at Ned and M.J. who don't know about my living situation. "Different Stark." I say, and they all say oh, because it would be obvious if Tony had a daughter.

I guess people can be as blind as Kagami's mother.
