Kuru kumars reached Hastinapur to give them the news of their victory but the news they received was a shock they heard karn and vritika single handedly made won Magadh by defeating jarasandh and now karn is going to be new samrat of aryavart as all 86 kings with some other allies made him reach the target of 100 kingdoms

Pandavs were shocked and somewhere jealous too but kauravs and others were feeling proud of them both . Bheesm's head was lifted in pride seeing his sister conquered her fears . Gandhari and Dhritarashtra were happy for their own reasons one for his son that he has a friend who is now a samrat and other is proud for her son like person who is now in a top position

Kunti's eyes were full of tears she was overwhelmed for her all son's victory and thanked vritika for being there for karn in all the times an idea popped in her mind but kept to herself waiting for the right time

In Magadh
Karn and vritika were sitting out waiting for the tent to get ready, karn gazed at his best friend who was awfully silent not willing to speak anything engrossed in her own thoughts he tried to shook her as he placed his hands on her shoulder he felt something wet when he saw his hand blood was over his whole hand he looked at her shoulder the piercing mark was visible and it even started to infect but she was not feeling any pain or there were no traces of uneasiness on her face

"Vriti you are bleeding" he shouted at her she flinched a bit saw her shoulder and saw his face "so what radhey this is normal for me" she answered him and again went back in her thoughts "you are wound started to infect idiot" he yelled at her carelessness ,she looked into his eyes which was reflecting pain 'pain' pain for her after so many days she saw a person who is concerned about her "Radhey I will treat it myself you calm down" she knew she could cure herself by her Sanjeevani mantra that was the reason she never concerned about her wounds but this is new to her.

Soon the tent was ready, he pulled her inside and dismissed all the servants saying they could manage he removed her head veil and asked her to change and come she was just following his orders which was new for her .she has never let anyone order her but she was listening to him like a obedient child she changed and came till then he was heating his dragger he made her sit on the diwan made her face the other side slipped her angavastra aside she was going to object but he was in no condition to listen he slowly brought his dragger towards her wound but his own hand was trembling to give her pain

"Vriti it is going to pain please control" he said in a trembling voice she just smiled in response seeing him he placed dagger on her wound she clutched his another hand tightly feeling pain

"is it paining so much" he asked her "zindagi me kayi salo ke bad dard mehsoos huva he Radhey acha hai" she said getting up from her place and placing her angavastra on her shoulder and was going to move away but he held her hand made her to sit near him

"I know vriti you are hiding many things from me I won't force you to tell me but remember this that this friend of yours is always there by your side if you want you can tell me" he assured her

She smiled in response her mind and body both were drowned out of energy she was feeling weak mentally not physically she parted her way from karn but he caught sight of her tattoo "vriti what is that on your back" he asked making her panic she covered that mark with her hair "nothing, it's just a design that's it nothing more" she stammered and went out to get fresh air , she stood facing the moon relaxing her shoulders a bit which were till now carrying burden of her past

Karn was watching her from the tent 'she is such a epitome beauty, beauty with brains a deadly combination sometimes I wonder is she the same person I befriended whatever it is vriti I will be there for you I promise the same way you promised we will get along everything together' he promised to himself went near her and pulled her to embrace didn't knew why but he wanted to so he did , she was though shocked but relaxed with his touch closed her eyes with relief that someone is there to guard her back .
