Far away a kingdom in northwest of Aryavart named mathura was ruled by a cruel king kans but as said everything has an end . His reign ended by his own nephew and again ugrapath rule started everything was going in peace . Vasudev with his two wives and two children were happily living in bhoj
Mathura A women of late twenties was strolling in garden caressing her baby bump but a voice stopped her tracks
"What are you doing at this time here Rohini shouldn't you be resting at this time" a manly voice came from her back "arya I am pregnant not sick arya" she huffed being treated as sick person from days
"What do I need to call your sister Devaki" vasudev asked showing fake anger "no arya don't she is been managing all the things all alone don't burden her more" she said "okay then now will come inside" he asked forwarding his hands she accepted with a smile and made their way towards their room
He made her lie on bed "arya whom do you think will be born a girl or a boy" she asked him "of course a girl priye she would make her father and brothers proud and will be light of mathura a good princess" he said with a smile making her smile too
"What do you want to name her Arya" Rohini asked him "she will be born as boon to us priye so I want to name her vriti vritika she will be vasudev Nandini vritika" he said dreamily imaging having his daughter in his hands soon
"Arya can we go near water falls tomorrow please" she pleaded him seeing her desperate he agreed "okay but if you have any sort of discomfort then we are going to return" he put forward the condition she smiled and slept in his embrace
"I promise arya I will make our child capable enough to make you proud a perfect princess, who will in future would be a perfect queen she would be perfect in everything" she thought to herself and slept
Next day Rohini and vasudev started their journey towards waterfalls which was outskirts of mathura with minimal soldiers
Suddenly she felt main in her stomach "arya it is paining" she screamed out of blue "Rohini stay here I will fetch water and come soldiers guard her" saying so he ran into the forest he searched everywhere then he got a kamandal on the rock but didn't find anyone near he apologised them in his mind and picked it up and ran towards his wife
He made her drink that she sighed in relief after subsidising the pain but soon a growl was heard "Who dared to take my kamandal without my permission" a sage made their way towards them
Vasudev immediately bowed down "o reserved sage I was the one who has taken your kamandal without your permission because my wife was in pain she is carrying my kin and I was not left with any other way please forgive me" vasudev pleaded him
"Do you know how sacred that water was I have traveled all over the world and collected water from all rivers bare foot and you have wasted all my hard work therefore I curse the person who is cause for all this I curse your unborn child to endure hardships in her life like I had collecting this water I sage Bhrigu curse your daughter" he announced
Vasudev and Rohini came on their knees and pleaded him "please rishiwar don't do this it was my fault curse me don't curse that person who haven't even entered into this world" vasudev cried more "no rishiwar curse me I was the one who asked arya to bring water please don't punish my child" Rohini too pleaded him
Sage Bhrigu's anger lessened "I can't take my curse back but can give her a boon that she will have strength to face those hardships and would be cause of everyone's happiness" he said and went away
Rohini and vasudev were weeping for their child they didn't want this to happen
'What ever is written in my daughter's destiny I will stand by her side I will be her support" he said to himself
"I should protect her from hardships for that even if I have to be hard on her I will be I won't let her make any mistakes so that she doesn't get into trouble" Rohini determined to herself
