Some one kept a hand on Karn's shoulder he turned to see the person was ...... bheeshm. He sat near vritika taking her hands in his big hands and started caressing it

"you know she was just 15 when I met her first" bheeshm started narrating his part of story. Karn snapped his head turned towards bheeshm who was engrossed in his own thoughts. "How was she then" karn asked him wanting to know more

"I was going towards southern kingdoms for some political purpose that time , I still remember that day when I saw her for the first time, that day was the worst things that always haunts me in deep forest in middle of nowhere I saw a figure lying in pool of blood she was injured , head was bleeding, stabbed numerous times with a broken armour and fallen sword I thought she was dead seeing the blood loss but when I went near her she was still struggling to breathe trying her best to not shut her eyes

I immediately picked her up didn't knew what to do ? I rushed to a near by village got her treated but Vaid said that she can't live for more  all her body parts were damaged I didn't know why I wanted to kill those bastards who tried to harm her I wanted her alive at any cost" bheeshm said with tears in his eyes

Karn was already drowning in guilt but now he is more effected seeing her suffer till death . Unknown to them there are many people who were listening to their conversation. Kauravas, pandavs and Dwarka siblings who came there to see vritika were rooted at their places listening to them

"Then how you have saved her mahamahim" karn asked him

"The only chance was my mata she was the one I knew could cure her I immediately took her near her , she cured her outer wounds but couldn't cure her inner pain , my mother said everything about her to me how she suffered and all I just wanted to kill in one go even I have tried to but mata stopped me saying that it is her mission her purpose for which she is being suffered when she gained consciousness she even feared my touch ,

she looked at me with suspicion in her eyes I tried to assure her but all went in vain but she was somehow familiar with mata when i asked her how she said that she had seen her in her dreams when I asked her about what happened to her she said she was completing the task given by her gurupita to safe guard something and the person with her who was her friend betrayed her and went away with that he left her to die

I didn't knew what to do but she was determined that she will not even trust her shadow from the however she brought the thing back and went away from there I never met her till one year everyday I asked about her to mata little by little she started trusting me & mata accepted her as her daughter and she accepted us as her family slowly she opened up not to much extent but something's

she used to share with us used daily come near Hastinapur river bank to meet me and mata in personal though she lived in different Lok. the pain in her eyes yet smile on her face always made me see at her with admiration , even she got to know everything without me saying her and used to scold me for the wrongs I have done and made me correct some of those which I can and today I saw the same vulnerability in her which she had when I met her" bheeshm said with tears in his eyes

Karn just felt numb that's it nothing is going into his mind . Everyone outside were having tears in their eyes knowing what she has gone through Subhadra was considering herself responsible for her sister's condition at same time sahadeva arrived there and saw all of them standing there asked them why haven't they gone in they just replied they couldn't dare to face her .

He sighed and moved in to see his daughter who was in deep slumber, along with Asti and prapti who ordered the men to go away so that she can change her clothes

Karn , sahadeva and bheeshm with all youngsters were in common room deep immersed in thoughts and guilt Subhadra was the first one to break the silence wiping her tears "kakashree how this all happened when I asked my brothers and everyone in house they said jiji went away to pursue her studies they never said this all now please you say how this happened with her" she asked gathering some strength
