The warmth of the sunlight stroke my skin, my eyes opened slowly bringing me out of the darkness, I looked around and noticed that I wasn't in my room, yesterday or more like today's morning event hit me, I am in Antonio's bedroom, I sleep well I have been a while since it did when I have nightmares I usually sleep with my brother they provide me safety and warmth something I felt around Antonio

"morning Antonio," I said softly, my stomach started grumbling begging me for food, Tony chuckled clearly amused at my misery, I send him a glare making him stop "well then you seem hungry let's go down for breakfast " he suggested, I immediately jumped out of bed and raced to the kitchen, I heard him laugh but I ignored I really want some pancakes with chocolate syrup and whipped cream

"Astraea slow down you're are going to fall down the stairs " Antonio called out, warning me but I was already too late, I slipped on the stairs and fell on my ass "ouch" I muttered in pain, "I told you to slow down "I looked up to see my eldest bio brother gazing me with an amused smile "you piece of shit, that isn't funny " I screamed at him, getting up to hit him
he stopped me before I could reach to hit his chest "you called me 'a piece of shit' baby sister, where are your manners " he scolded me but you couldn't miss the playfulness in his tone, I rolled my eyes at him and continued making my way to the kitchen
Once we entered everyone turned to look at us suspiciously "what took you that long you two "Fa– I mean Vince asked, Tony and I looked at each other's "your son was making fun of me " I smirked knowing he will be getting scold "ANTONIO, why would you do that to your sister " Helena yelled at him angrily "Mama I didn't do anything I swear that little shit is lying " he defended himself "Language" Vince said sternly "oh for God's sakes I am 25 " Tony whines

"take a seat, Astraea I made your favorites " Helena smiled at us softly ignoring what just happened a few minutes ago, we sat down on the table and she handed me a plate of pancakes "that is the chocolate syrup" Ares gave me the bottle "and that is the whipped cream, " Atlas said

my mouth watered and I didn't waste a minute before devouring the 8 pancakes, when I finished I noticed everyone expected my twins looking at me shocked "what, staring is rude you know " I snapped annoyed at their stares "I— y-you just ate all of that" Valerio stutter in disbelief "yep, food is life if you feed me you keep me happy " I said sheepishly earning a laugh from everyone even Romeo which was a surprise

After breakfast Vince, Antonio and Hermès went to work while Romeo went out bot bothering to inform us where he went and Valerio had to meet up with some friends, my twins were upstairs sleeping in their rooms because they said that they hadn't slept well last night, I was left alone with Helena in the living room
"so do you like fashion," Helena asked me trying to make a conversation, I appreciate her efforts really she was trying to get to know her kids so I decided to interact "yes I love it "I replied, when you wear something that makes you feel good and beautiful it boost your self-confidence, usually our clothes represent a bit of our personality, I have always been the type of girl who loves shopping even if I prefer the online stores "Really" she squealed excitedly, I hummed "I own a fashion company, we can go shopping together next week" she continued enthusiastically "yes I know I have heard about you your work is amazing and sure we can go shopping sometime "I smiled i think I have a soft spot for her she is so pure yet she is a badass mafia queen than won't hesitate to slit someone's throat if they hurt her family, and I wasn't lying when I said her work is exceptional I have bought lots of clothes from her company her outfits are one of my favorites
