Yesmeen...
"Mommy, I won't go anywhere. I'm having a really bad headache," I mumbled, desperately trying to find a way to escape from meeting this unknown husband of mine.

"But what can I do? Mommy is forcing me to be here. Just wait and see, Mr. Unknown, you're going to cancel this marriage yourself," I thought to myself, feeling trapped and frustrated.

Reluctantly, I dressed up in an atamfa blouse and skirt and wrapped my veil around me. It has been two weeks since I came back, and I wasn't allowed to go anywhere. I feel like a prisoner in my own home, and people have already started arriving for the wedding.

"It's been a while since I've talked to Ammar. I was the last one to call him, and since that day, we haven't been in touch. I can't help but wonder if it's because of this wedding," I pondered.

As I slid my legs into my shoes, my heart raced with each step. Suddenly, our eyes met, and in that moment, my eyes widened, and a smile escaped from my lips. "Ammar!" I exclaimed, unable to contain my surprise.

"Ammar, you didn't tell me you were coming!" I said, my voice filled with excitement. His face twisted in confusion as he stared at me, and I walked towards him.

"What? Why are you staring at me like you're seeing me for the first time?" I asked, relieved that it was him and not my so-called unknown husband. "But tell me, why didn't you tell me you were coming? Anyways, I love the surprise."

Ammar gulped and stammered, struggling to find the right words. I looked at him, equally confused. "What's wrong? Are you okay?" I handed him some water as he choked and started coughing.

"Oh my god, Ammar, are you okay? Meen, do you have any siblings?" he asked, his voice filled with concern.

I can't  help but feel puzzled by his strange question. "What kind of silly question is that, Ammar? I don't understand what you're talking about."

"Well, I was asked to come and see..." he trailed off, leaving me curious and eager to know more.
"
Well I was asked to come and see my unknown wife here.
Unknown wife and they told you this house address? I think you came the wrong way I said in one breath

He stared at me, then glanced down at his feet, nervously biting his lower lip. "Say something, Ammar. I don't understand any of this," I pleaded, my voice filled with confusion.

"What else do you want me to say?" he replied, the silence in the room becoming suffocating. The tension between us was palpable, and I could feel myself trembling.

Rubbing his palms anxiously, he looked down at me once again. "Ammar, Ammar will be my husband," I said, my voice filled with disbelief. "It feels like my parents have chosen him, but how can my best friend become my husband? It's something that will never happen. And what about Ameera? I can't come between them, never."

"Can we just talk about this?" His voice reverberated through the room, but I found myself unable to form any words. My tongue felt tied, and I was at a loss for what to say.

"Yesmeen," he called my name gently, trying to ease the tension. "Ammar, this is wrong. Completely wrong. I just can't marry you," I said, attempting to hide the cracks in my voice.

He remained silent for a moment, his thoughts swirling. "How can I marry my best friend? It's something that would never happen. Ameera's fiancé, the man my parents have chosen for me, is also my best friend,.
