"Aunty, I can't live with Ammar anymore. I've had enough of all this," I muttered as I zipped up my suitcase.

"Please, explain everything to me. Are you out of your mind? When did you even get married that you're talking about going back home now?" Aunt Maryam questioned.

"Aunty, I'm coming to your place. I can't stay in this house anymore," I declared.

"Does Muhammad know you're coming?" she asked, but before I replied her he snatched the phone from my hand. I turned around to find him standing behind me.

"Give me my phone back!" I shouted through clenched teeth. He glanced at the closet and then back at my suitcase.

"Where do you think you're going?" he questioned.

"To where I belong!" I yelled. "Give me my phone right now!"

"You're not going anywhere," he stated firmly.

"Then stop me!" I cried, hastily grabbing my suitcase. "I won't live with you anymore. You can go and live with your so-called wife. Just give me my phone back."

"I won't," he refused. Frustrated, I told him to keep the phone and I picked up my suitcase.

But he pulled me back, gripping my hand tightly. "You're not going anywhere," he snapped, anger flashing in his eyes.

"Just let go of my hand," I pleaded, tears streaming down my face.

"What the fuck did I do to you?" he snapped.

"You're asking me what you did to me? Are you even serious?" I asked, a single tear slipping from my eye. "Well, you've done nothing, Ammar. You've done nothing. Do you even care about what she did to me? All you do is shout at me. Have you ever asked me what happened between me and her?"

"No, you never really understand , did you? You just keep shouting at me, telling me to go back to my part, as if I was the one causing all the trouble. I cried, feeling so helpless.

What if her actions lead to something terrible happening to me? Tell me, don't just stay silent. I raised my voice, desperately trying to make him understand. She's trying to hurt me... and what did I do? Nothing. I did absolutely nothing to her.

She called me a betrayer, a cheater, a snatcher. And all you did was shout at me. I just can't believe this. And when she saw you, she pretended like nothing happened.

But you know what? Who am I to say all this? I'm just no one. As I was about to walk away, my phone rang. He glanced at the screen before handing it back to me.

Seeing that it's Aunt Maryam calling, I immediately answered the call. "Where are you now?" she asked the moment I picked up. "I'm coming now, Aunt," I replied before hanging up.

Listen yesmeen he started

but I didn't want to listen to anything he will say. I walked towards the door, but he pulled me back, saying I didn't have permission to go anywhere. But if I'm not allowed to leave, then maybe it's time for me to step out of this house," I said with determination, snatching my phone back from him as he stormed off.

Glaring at his back, I picked up my suitcase and made my way downstairs. But when I reached the entrance door, I realized it was locked from the outside. My heart sank, and I burst into tears. He locked the door, oh my Allah..."

I cried and cried until I couldn't cry anymore. Exhausted, I decided to climb out of the living room window and step out. But even then, the gatekeeper refused to let me leave. It feels like there was no escape.

"Ammar told me not to step outside, but I decided to be smart and went out anyway. I won't be coming back anymore. To hell with Ameera."

I find a cab and it took me directly to Aunt Maryam's house. "Yesmeen, are you okay?" Aunt Maryam asked, as I cried and hugged her tightly.

"Did he know you came out?" she questioned.

I shook my head and replied, "No, he said I shouldn't go anywhere." But here I am.

Aunt Maryam's maid came and carried my suitcase. Aunt Maryam looked at me with concern, "Yesmeen, what's wrong with your brain? He's your husband, remember? You don't even know how to handle him. Ameera is even smarter than you." She sighed.

"Do you even know what she's discussing with her mother? Aren't you even ashamed? It's only the second week of your marriage, and you've already left your house."

"Do you know what? I feel like hitting you right now. Do you even know what your rival is up to? Do you know what they're planning, Yesmeen? You need to understand. Do you want your whole life to end just being friends with him? He's your husband, Yesmeen. You have every right over him. You're just sitting there while she gains his family's love and everything. Who told you that men are meant to be treated like that? Your stupid brain, right?"

"And him, he just sits there, looking at you like he's keeping a stone. Maybe I should inform your mom about this," Aunt Maryam exclaimed.

"No, Aunt, please don't tell her. I just don't know what to do, and besides, he doesn't even love me. How do you expect me to do all this, Aunt? And about Ameera? He once told me that he's not into her, and I'm not in love with him either."

"Inalillahi, Yesmeen. I know you don't have any sense at all. He told you he didn't love her, and you believed him. Men are hypocrites, if you don't know. And just because he doesn't love you, you don't know what to do to make him fall for you."

Gaskiya Yesmeen,If I didn't hit you today, I wouldn't be happy. And now you've left the house for them, right? You don't know what a rival is, Yesmeen. You're still young."

"But I don't love him," I started, but the smack she gave me on my back made me keep quiet. Tears streamed down my cheeks.

"You're returning back to your house today? And one more thing, I will give you an assignment. You have to make him fall for you. I'll give you two weeks to make him confess his love to you."

"And be careful with her. Whatever she gives you or him, make sure you don't eat it or use it. Your legs should never step into her part again. Repeat after me: 'My legs should never step into her part again.' Even if you don't love him, Yesmeen, just put this in your mind that from today on, you will start loving your husband and show that girl he's your husband too. To hell with the friendship."

"But Aunt, also what he did is wrong. He shouted at me in front of her, and I can't take it."

"Kinsan Allah, idan nafara dukan ki, you will keep quiet. Now, will you wipe those tears? Go and pray. It's almost Zuhr time. And type his number over here."

She handed me her phone, and as I typed the number, I went straight to the washroom to perform ablution.

Around Asr, Ammar came. I can hear all that Aunt and her husband had told him. They scolded him a lot, which I'm happy about.

So the moment I came out, I started crying because I didn't want to follow him anymore. Aunt feels like hitting me.

Throughout the ride, no one said a word between us. He parked his car at the parking space and brought out my suitcase from the car while the security man immediately carried it.

I started walking when I heard his voice from behind...hey wait he mumbled almost holding my hands I snatched it back and I was about to walk then what anty maryam said hit me..

I'm sorry ok he said looking straight to my eyes.. I didn't answer him I left to my part..
