-How you feel? -Teresa asked when she noticed Lyn was waking up-. You passed out –she clarify when she saw the confused look Hayleen gave her-. It's been three days but everything is fine. The baby is fine -she added.

Nothing was fine. Her body ached and something was missing, a part of her was not there.

-Where's Thomas? -she asked finally realizing what felt wrong and starting to panic.

-He's okey -she hastened to reassure her.

He wasn't okey. She couldn't feel him, it was like he was dead. What united them was simply no longer there; after weeks of being used to always feeling him with her, now there was only emptiness on the other side of their bond.

-Thomas? -she managed to question the girl again as her breathing became more and more altered.

-You have to calm down, it's not good for the baby. He is in the maze. There was a change of plans and you will be joining him in less than two weeks.

-He wouldn't... he promised...-Lyn whispered between sobs as she hugged her knees and swayed, unable to stop herself.

Teresa only looked at her with pity, knowing that she would not be offering her any comfort if she tried to hug her to comfort her; the only thing that would ease her at that moment would be having her soul mate with her. She knew it was necessary for the successful of the trials to happen but she couldn't really agree with what had been done to her best friend and Lyn. Despite the fact that she was not aware of the existing plans regarding the two of them, she could not help but feel guilty seeing her so devastated. However, she was aware that they had already separated them and that the best she could do in these circumstances was to use the information these new variables would yield them, especially now they could monitor the functioning of the brain of Hayleen.

Feeling useless, Teresa approached the hysterical girl bobbed in bed as if that would stop what was going on in her head. She rested a hand on the girl's shoulder, trying to convey her support, but she didn't seem to notice; in fact, it seemed to get worse and worse as the seconds ticked by. She wasn't only rocking herself, but now heartbreaking sobs were also coming out of her mouth as her hands squeezed her head as if she could make everything stop.

-I don't think we'll get much of a reaction from her for a long time, Dr. Paige -Teresa informed her, looking over her shoulder at the woman leaning against the door.

-I will continue to take care of my grandson until she is able to do so. Make sure her current condition doesn't end up affecting her pregnancy -she ordered the girl as she left the room.

The days passed and Teresa spent many of them taking care of her the best she could. She slept in the same room as her so that she could wake her up when the nightmares began and the screams were heard. She didn't know what Hayleen saw in her dreams, but from the disjointed words she blurted out, the scientific assumed she was dreaming of Thomas's death.

As those first difficult days passed, Lyn finally began to respond again to what was happening in the world outside her mind. Teresa had spent the last few days waiting for her to finally speak to her; she had stopped crying and screaming and that was undoubtedly a sign of improvement, despite the catatonic gaze that accompanied her.

-¿Seth? -was the first thing she tried to say hoarsely due to little use and the screaming that preceded it.

-He's with Ava. I can take you to your apartment with him whenever you want –she answered, relieved to hear her saying something.
