I opened the door and closed it.
"Finally your back, I was getting bored." He put his toys down and walked over to me. He wrapped his arms around me.

I kneeled down and wrapped my arms around him pulling him closer to me.
"I like it when your nice." He whispered.
I laughed.
"Alright kid, time to get cleaned up." I got up.
"Do I have to." He whined.

"Do you wanna get sick and die?" I put my hands on my hips staring down at him. He shook his head no and ran over to the bathroom.

"Privacy." He spoke with an attitude.
"Brush your teeth dude." I turned on the sink. "Do I have to?"

"Are you gonna make me do it for you?"
He smiled and crossed his arms.
I grabbed his tooth brush and put some toothpaste on it before opening his mouth. "Stop biting the tooth brush." I laughed as I brushed his teeth.
He rolled his eyes dramatically.

I cleaned off the toothbrush and turned the sink off.
"Shower time." I pointed at the shower.
"Privacy." He reminded me.
"I'll leave when you turn it on, your not gonna finesse me again."
He huffed and turned on the shower.

I gave him a nod and left the bathroom.

I walked outside and put a cigarette in between my lips before lighting it.
Kev walked over to me.
"You think she'll be okay?" I asked.
"yeah she'll be fine, but she's not seeing her kid again that's for sure." He took the cigarette out of my mouth.
"His dad is better for him anyway." He added.

"No he's not, I won't let him take him." I took the cigarette back.

"What's up with you? What Jade and him argue, he's still a better parent. I mean she just overdosed a couple days after getting the kid back." He spoke.
"She's the better parent, there's no way that overdose was her fault she wouldn't have done that on purpose."

"No matter how much I hate Nate he's still better." He shrugged.
"You just haven't seen what I have yet."

"What?" He looked at me confused.
"Nothing." I put the cigarette out.
"I gotta get back to work." He side hugged me and walked away.

I went back inside.
"I can't find my shirt y." Corrie complained with blanket wrapped around his body.
"There's a tank top right there." I pointed it.
He shook his head no.

"You know what, you can wear one of my shirts." I opened one of the draws and grabbed a white shirt .
"Thank you." He smiled.
I turned around while he changed.
