Y/n's POV

"Come on, guys, you don't think there's actually anything to that stuff, do you?" Derek asked Penelope and Kevin, who were reading over this week's horoscopes.

"You'd be surprised," Penelope exclaimed.

I scoffed. "It's gibberish."

"All right, skeptic, what's your sign?" Penelope questioned.

"No," I hum and shake my head. "I'm not telling you that."

"You won't, but a certain genius will. Reid, we need a DOB on Y/n," Penelope requested.

"Spencer, don't you dare," I hiss and glance over to my boyfriend, who had come to fill up his coffee mug.

"But it's just a-"

I cut Spencer off by placing my hand over his mouth. "That's not the point." Just then, Spencer licked my palm, and I shrieked, pulling my pulling my hand away from my mouth. "Did you just lick my hand? That's disgusting!"

"Early August," Spencer told Penelope and smirked in my direction.

"I hate you," I grumble and take a sip of my coffee.

"So you're a Leo. Lets see. 'A romantic opportunity may experience a slight hitch thanks to the pesky lunar influence, which could have you dipping into a rather chilly mood. If being demonstrative and warm is difficult, then neutralize this temporary cold front with a simple but affectionate gesture'," Penelope read aloud. "Ooh. Does that mean you and Boy Wonder are gonna have some romance issues this week?"

"You know, this is why I don't like you guys," I mutter.

"Hey," JJ greeted us. "You guys ready to gather?"

"Well, look at you, miss thing. First day back and you're all business," Derek said.

"Well, it's either dive right in or confront my separation anxiety from Henry," JJ confessed and waved us all to the conference room, where we took our seats. "There's been a string of abductions in Olympia, Washington going back 9 months. 4 women all, blond, blue-eyed, early 20s. This morning they found one. She was taken 9 months ago. She was the first. And here's the weird thing. She was embalmed."

"That's different," Emily commented.

"Where did they find her?" Rossi quizzed.

"In a state park just east of Olympia," JJ replied. "Seasonal hiking area. The body was jarred loose during a mudslide. That, plus the abnormal decomp makes it difficult to know how long she was there."

"It says the victims were abducted about 3 months apart," Spencer recited from the file. "If he's rotating his victims out, there are gonna be more bodies out there."

Crime Scene
Olympia, Washington

"I'm so glad I decided to wear my combat boots today," I say as I held onto Spencer's hand so he could help me navigate over a huge puddle of muddy water.

"A hiker found a foot protruding from the soil right up here, and the whole side of the hill slid down from up there," Detective Duran proclaimed.

"So you're focusing the search in this area here?" Derek asked.

Detective Duran nodded. "Yeah, but if he dumped other bodies here, he's got over 800 acres to work with."

"Keep your men near the fire road, detective," Spencer advised. "One man dragging a body through the woods with a 110 pounds of dead weight is not gonna get far from the path. That's why a lot of killers dismember their victims. They're easier to dispose of that way."
