Y/n's POV

"Spencer, we're gonna be late," I call out into the apartment as I slid on my shoes.

"Y/n, it takes an average of 11 minutes to drive to work from your apartment," Spencer recited. "We've got 30 minutes until we've got to be there, and since there are no reports for traffic, we'll get there on time."

"Well, I have some paperwork that I need to finish up," I counter. "Which means we need to leave now. So hurry your cute little butt up."

"You think my butt's cute?" Spencer questioned.

"It's the cutest," I return and grab my keys. "Now lets go." About 10 minutes after we arrived at work, we got called in for a case. And lets just say it was a weird one.

"An unsub that kills with his car. I haven't seen that before," Emily confessed.

"Neither have the police in Bend, Oregon," JJ told us. "Which is why they need our help. Two victims in the last 12 days. The first was hit while on a morning jog-Maria Delgado, 23. The second was a stranded motorist, Shannon Makely, 43."

"And what makes the locals think that they were connected?" Derek asked.

"Well, for one thing, they were both backed over after the initial impact," Hotch answered.

"That was no accident," Rossi commented.

"They matched treads at both scenes. Large wheels, all-terrain. Wounds also indicate a raised bumper, so they're thinking large SUV or truck," JJ disclosed.

"Do they know the model or make?" Spencer quizzed.

"The tires aren't factory issue, so they could be on a number of different models," JJ responded.

"It says here that there were no witnesses to either incident. A hit-and-run is loud and draws attention," I point out. "Somebody usually sees something."

"Both victims were attacked in secluded areas," JJ revealed.

"Serial killers have been known to become rather attached to their vehicles. Bittaker and Norris even gave theirs a nickname. Murder Mac," Spencer rattled off.

"Bittaker and Norris were sexual sadists," Hotch opposed. "There's no sign of torture here."

"It sounds like thrill kills. Opportunistic. Easy targets randomly selected," Rossi described.

"With this type of impact, the vehicle shouldn't be hard to pick out of a lineup. There should be significant front-end damage," Derek claimed.

"Somehow I don't think it's gonna be that easy," Rossi declared.

............................................

"Well, I think it's safe to assume our unsub is male," Emily put out.

"I agree with you, given what we know about aggressive driving and road rage," Hotch spoke.

"And the fact that men ha an unnatural bond with their cars," Emily added.

"That is true," JJ agreed.

"Wait a minute," Derek interjected. "I don't know about unnatural."

"I once dated a guy who washed his car more than he washed his hair," JJ recalled.

"A nice car needs love," Rossi stated.

JJ frowned. "And a woman doesn't?"

"I'm not qualified to answer that," Rossi publicized, which caused us all to laugh.
