15. Stalker

At the office~

I walked into Mina's office as her head quickly turned to me.

"Y/n!" She called out.

"I'm so sorry for yesterday..." She seemed upset and embarrassed.

"I didn't mean to point at you. I panicked and freaked out!" She hid her face behind her hands.

I walked over to her and hugged her. She jumped a bit from my actions.

"I wasn't sure how to comfort you. But I just wanted to let you know that it's okay. I get it." I comforted her.

"Thanks, Y/n, for understanding." She softly said.

We held onto the hug for a while until we heard knocks on the door. We quickly stopped hugging as I took a seat on the chair next to her.

"Ms. Myoui," Jihyo called out for Mina as she smiled at me and waved.

"Yes, Jihyo?" Mina coughed and suddenly had a straight face on.

"Is it okay if I can borrow Y/n for a minute?" She kindly asked.

"Sure, may I know what it is for? Since Y/n has some important work to do." Mina suddenly said as my eyebrows furrowed. I didn't recall having vital work to do today...

"Oh, you see. I was hoping for Y/n to be able to review my work." Jihyo said.

"Okay then," Mina replied as I followed after Jihyo. We went to her desk as I glanced at her computer screen.

"So, what is it you need?" I asked her.

"I wanted to find an excuse to talk to you. How has it been working for Ms. Myoui as her secretary?" She curiously asked.

Maybe I should call her Ms. Myoui...

"Working for Ms. Myoui isn't so bad. She isn't as intimidating as I thought." I answered her.

"Really? I see..." Jihyo seemed to be in disbelief.

"Well, I wanted to ask if you wanted to go to a cafe after work. I thought maybe we could, you know, hang out with each other." She smiled as I nodded.

"Yeah, sure! That would be fun!" I smiled at her.

"Perfect! I will see you after work today!"

"See you!" I said before walking back to Mina's office.

Wait a dang minute, did she ask me out on a date? No... She didn't say it, so I doubt it is one.

"How was it?" Mina suddenly asked. She seemed to have been waiting for me or someone else.

"It was alright. She did the data correctly, which is great." I covered for Jihyo.

"Y/n, are you busy today?" Mina suddenly asked.

"Yes, I am busy after work today."

"I see..." Mina seemed disappointed by my response.

Third-person Pov

After work~

"Bye, have a great day Mina!" Y/n waved to Mina before heading out to meet with Jihyo.

"Hey, Jihyo!"

"Hey, Y/n!"

"Do you know which cafe you wanted to go to?"

"I wanted to try out ____ cafe." She told Y/n as her eyes widened.

"Oh shoot, that is the cafe I used to work at. I hope my friends aren't working today." Y/n thought to herself.

"Sure! I heard it's really good!"

They drove to the cafe together. When they arrived, Y/n followed her into the cafe.

At the cashier, Y/n spotted all her friends, and Y/n made faces at them, saying, "This is not a date, and this is a co-worker" Her friends understood and backed off.

"What would you like to order?" Dahyun asked Jihyo as she tried to hold in her laughter. Y/n glared at Dahyun.

"I would like an iced americano," Jihyo said.

"Make that two, please." Y/n smiled.

Y/n knew Tzuyu, Chaeyoung, and Dahyun both wanted to make fun of her, but they didn't want to embarrass her in front of Jihyo.

"Your order will be ready shortly," Chaeyoung said as Jihyo and Y/n sat down at a table.

"You like iced americano as well?!" Jihyo seemed surprised.

"Of course, it is my favorite drink of all times." Y/n cheerfully said.

Without Jihyo and Y/n noticing, someone else came into the cafe.

Mina vowed not to follow Y/n, but after seeing her come to the Cafe with Jihyo, she couldn't help it.

Y/n's friends noticed her and were puzzled as they saw Mina staring at Y/n and Jihyo.

"Hey, I have always wanted to say something." Jihyo stared at Y/n as she tilted her head.

"What is it?" Y/n curiously asked.

She placed her hand on Y/n's hand as Y/n gulped. "Woah. What is she doing?"

"I love your smile a lot. It looks beautiful on you." She said as Y/n couldn't help but smile.

"Is this how friends talk?" Y/n thought to herself.

"I love your smile as well!" Y/n cheerfully said to Jihyo as her face was red.

"Wait, Y/n, you have something on your face." Jihyo stood up and leaned closer to Y/n's face as she tried to get something off her face.

Suddenly, Jihyo and Y/n heard a cup fall as they turned and saw it was someone with a har on. Y/n wondered who that was but shrugged it off.

"Well, anyways, Jihyo, I am going to use the restroom to get it off my face. I will be back." Y/n smiled and stood up. She walked past the person who dropped their cup.

When Y/n was gone, Jihyo stood up and walked over to the lady with the cap on.

"Ms. Myoui, I know that it is you. You can fool Y/n but not me." Jihyo said as Mina lifted her cap.

"What are you doing here?" Jihyo asked Mina as Mina nervously gulped. Mina didn't want to get caught.

"I was just trying to get some coffee," Mina argued.

"You seemed a bit more sus than that."

"Let me guess... Do you like Y/n?" Mina's eyes widened.

"I do not. It is my responsibility as her boss to know if she is safe or not."

"Does that mean you have to stalk us?"

"I was not stalking you guys!" Mina became defensive.

"Yes, you were!" Jihyo threw her hands up in the air.

"If you were her boss, then you wouldn't have the audacity to stalk her like this. She needs her own private life too." Jihyo pointed out as Mina felt embarrassed.

"Are you saying that you like her?" Mina angrily asked.

"I do. I like her a lot," Jihyo admitted as she blushed.

Mina became upset and clenched her jaw.

"Then go after her. I will leave first." Mina angrily walked away as Jihyo smirked.

Jihyo quickly sat down as Y/n sat in front of her.

"Sorry I took a while..." Y/n awkwardly chuckled.

"It's no problem." Jihyo smiled.

The whole time, Jihyo and Y/n started talking and becoming closer. Jihyo couldn't help but enjoy the moments she had with Y/n. Jihyo was just a bit worried because now she knows Mina's feelings for Y/n.

Meanwhile, Y/n was in her world. She is super dense as she has yet to notice Jihyo and Mina's feelings towards her.

Nevertheless, Y/n enjoyed spending time with Jihyo at the cafe. Soon after, Jihyo drove Y/n home as they said their farewells.
