Instead of Giyuu tomioka finding Tanjiro, kyojuro Rengoku, the flame hashira, does. Kyojuro see's potential in Tanjiro and because he has no successor he trains Tanjiro in the art of flame breathing. Nezuko will be dead(by tanjiros hands). Sorry not...
We could see a sweaty Tanjiro, in some sort of training ground inside a huge house, doing push-ups.
After Rengoku found Tanjiro, he took him in and started to train him for almost 1 year now. Kyojuros father was a hassle at first but after kyojuro made it absolutely clear that Tanjiro was staying, he just left them alone
"Kamado shonen! Can you come here for a second?" Rengoku shouted with a large smile, standing besides the door
"Eh? But I only started my training......and I've only did half of the push-ups?" Tanjiro stated with a head tilt. "I know! But I have something to tell you!"
Tanjiro just got up, dusted off his pants, and ran to Rengoku. "Good, now come inside! I have something to tell you!"
With a nod, they both went inside and sat on a mat. "Well, what did you want to tell me Rengoku sensei?" Tanjiro asked, his hands on his lap
"As you know, you have been training for almost a year, and it seems that you're ready!" Rengoku shouted more enthusiastically than normal
"Ready for what?" Tanjiro asked "Ready to learn the 9 forms of flame breathing!"
"..." A couple of seconds of silence went by until
"REALLY?!" Tanjiro shouted as he jumped in joy. "Really! We will start your training after you complete your body exercise!" Rengoku yelled with a chuckle as he watched Tanjiro beam
"Eh? Big brother? Tanjiro-nii? What's happening?" Senjuro, Rengokus little brother asked as he walked into the room
"I'm going to learn flame breathing!" Tanjiro shouted in joy as he smiled brightly "Really! Cool!" Senjuro said with a happy smile
"Yes! Wait..... 9 forms? Why not 8? I thought only the Rengoku family are allowed to learn the 9th form?" Tanjiro asked, looking at kyojuro, realization hitting him
"Hahaha! My dear boy! You are a Rengoku! Not by blood but by heart!" Rengoku replied with one of the brightest smiles he could show
Tanjiro just stood there in shock, surprised to have heard those words, until his expression turned to one of pure happiness

"Now! Go and do your body exercise! We will meet outside after that!" "Hai!" Tanjiro shouted as he ran into the training ground and started doing his body exercise
1,000 push-ups followed by 1,000 pull ups. He would go outside and run around the Rengoku mansion 50 times then go back inside and start lifting weights 100 times. After that he would try to blow and blow up a special gord three times, each time it would get bigger. Then he would go and spar with Kyojuro to test out his strength. That would be his body exercise
Kyojuro made sure that Tanjiro would be physically strong. He tried his best to make Tanjiro as strong as he is. Even though Tanjiro isn't physically strong as Kyojuro, to say that he wasn't strong would be terribly underestimating him.
"Wait! Rengoku sensei, can I go drink water? I'm thirsty." Tanjiro asked, voice dry, turning his head towards his master. "Ah! Yes you can!" Rengoku replied
"Thank you! Do you guys want any?" "No thanks" the two siblings said at the same time.
With a smile, Tanjiro left to go drink water. But after he left, Senjuro looked at his older brother
"Brother, why do you seem sad? Or worried?" He asked. Kyojuros eyes widened a bit "I may not be a demon slayer but I do know you. Do you not want to teach Tanjiro flame breathing?"
"I do.....but I'm worried he....." "Is it about the final selection?" Senjuro asked ".....yeah" Rengoku replied while looking at the floor
"Don't worry, by what I've seen he'll be more then capable of passing it. But why not train him more to ease your worries?" Senjuro said with a warm smile
"Hmm.....I will! I might even call a friend to train him a bit after he learns flame breathing!" Rengoku said with his typical smile. "You mean that flamb-"
"I'm done!" Tanjiro said as crouched down while panting heavily The two stared at him in shock 'Did he really just complete his exercise......in a couple of minutes......?' Senjuro thought
"Well then! Let's start! Come with me Kamado shonen!" Rengoku shouted as he got up and got out the door, later being followed by a tired but excited Tanjiro
'I still have time to train Kamado shonen! He may be able to pass the final selection but I want to be absolutely sure!'
So why is it that Tanjiro learned most forms in only 4 months?
TIME SKIP 4 MONTHS
"Kamado shonen! Tell me your progress!" Rengoku asked with his typical enthusiastic mood
"I learned the 8 forms but I'm still having a bit of trouble with the last form" Tanjiro said with a small frown
"Don't worry! I know how difficult it is to learn it so don't beat yourself up for it!" Rengoku shouted while putting a hand on his students shoulders "Hai!"
Rengoku smiled and continued on eating his 10th udon bowl. However, Tanjiro just looked at him with a worried expression
"Rengoku sensei....why do you always smell worried when I tell you of my progress?" Tanjiro asked
Rengoku looked at him in shock. Partly do to the fact that he forgot Tanjiro could smell emotions
Rengoku just stared at him with wide eyes before putting down his bowl and looking at the ground with a small frown
".....I...like other trainers, don't want you to go to the final selection yet....." Rengoku replied "I don't want to send you to a place where you could possibly spend your last days there" he continued
Tanjiro looked at him with shocked eyes before having a sad expression "I can't really be mad at you for that, but the final selection isn't until 8 months, so you could train me more to your liking" Tanjiro said with a large smile
"Haha! That's what I've been planning on doing!" Rengoku said with a large chuckle "Kamado shonen, meet a friend of mines!"
Tanjiro just tilted his head until he finally noticed a presence behind him. He immediately grabbed his practice sword and swung it at what seemed to be the 'persons' neck
Well.....that would be....until the person just disappeared
"Hmm, not bad kid!"
He turned behind him and saw a tall man with white hair, jewelry, and two big swords on his back. "Kamado shonen! Meet uzui tengen! The sound pillar!"
"So you're Rengokus tsuguko? You seem promising! Prepare yourself kid! You're gonna train with the most flamboyant shinobi of all!" Uzui said with a smile as he stood in a 'I am god' position
'I don't have a good feeling about this' Tanjiro thought with dots for eyes and a bit of sweat on his forehead
