RED COATED LIPS WERE MADE TO TELL SWEET LIES.

But for some reason she didn't know herself, she didn't feel like she had to lie to the business man, but the truth was she couldn't give him an honest answer either. After all, there was no exact answer for that mindful question.

"If you don't want to tell me, it's fine. But please refrain from trying anything like this near me. It does not matter if you can't get killed, I still don't want to witness something similar ever again" he sighed

He didn't sound disappointed or mad that she remained silent and that was only because he was not expecting her to suddenly tell him something that surely weight an emotional baggage that no one would feel ready to share with a stranger.

"Wanna go for a smoke?" she asked him

"It's rainy, I don't like getting wet so I will pass"

Nanami wanted to smoke, actually he felt like a cigarette was everything he could ask for in that moment, but more than that he hated the rain.

"How about we open the window? The smell will be gone in a few hours if we keep it open" she said as she reached with her hand the handle of the window

"You will definitely catch a cold if we open it" he was not particularly concerned about her well being, but rather he had common sense

Despise his words she opened the window, letting the cold breeze hit her face and slowly make its way into the office room. The sound of the rain was calming and addicting, it was almost like watching a dance you could never understand, but always loved.

A warm and dry material covered her shoulders and arms, as a heavy weight rested in the chair next to the desk she was sitting on. His green eyes never looked once in her direction, but he grabbed her cigar and lit it for her, before he passed it back.

"Thank you for the coat. You truly are a gentleman, Nanami" she laughed as she inhaled the toxic smoke

"Do you like watching the rain?" he avoided any further conversation on that subject

The question caught her off guard as she was not sure why he asked her something like that all of a sudden, but maybe it was the closest thing he could hang on.

"Sometimes" she let a tired sigh escape past her lips

"What do you like about it?" he went on

"Hmm" she thought for a second "I've always watched the rain with jealousy, I thought it was unfair" she laughed at herself "Unfair to be able to take away the sun and warmth just like that"

"So you were jealous because it had power?" he asked her confused

"No. Because it had courage. The courage to stand up and overcome something that's overpowering it"

"And you didn't?" he was already aware that she was referring to a memory of hers

"I was a coward, instead of facing what I feared I tried to ran away. To chose the easy way...but I was doomed" she put off the cigar

The scent of his cologne was still lingering but onto the coat, intoxicating her nose strills. And unaware of it, she became addicted to his comforting scent.

"But you have another chance. Maybe this time you'll be like the rain, full of courage" he trew his cigar in the ash tray

"But the rain is hated bu everyone, always disliked and blamed...I think it is lonely" she was watching the drops of water falling with speed from the sky

"Because only a few can adore it, that's the reason why it won't be lonely. Just like you are doing right now, enjoy the rain, someone will make you feel less lonely Y/N"

"But when?" she asked, finally looking into his eyes

"Sometimes it gets lonely, but only so that you can treasure more the moments when it is not" he had an urge, one he couldn't explain and one he wanted to push away as far as possible

"It's five, work time is over" she finally said as she looked over to the clock

"You're right. I'll pack up here, you can go" he said as she started tiding the place up

It was still raining and she didn't want to get more wet than she already was, her home was also far away, so she thought she could wait for a bit longer.

"I will wait for you. I need a drive home since it's still raining"

Was it rude? At least that's what Nanami thought of her behaviour, but he put it aside for the moment, as she didn't have much expectations from the young woman.

It wasn't long before the man came to the parking lot, only to find the woman moving from one foot to another, trying to ease the pain from her high heels.Nanami was never the type of men to judge or think about what women did, he couldn't really care for what mattered, but seeing her in such a pain for such a dumb reason made his slip a few profanities in his mind about those damn high shoes.

"Sorry to keep you waiting" he said as he got out his car keys "Wait for me here"

He didn't want to put her through the pain of walking to where the car was parked, so waiting would have been best, except a few of their co workers and their noisy mouths were there to see the scene.

"See? She really is sleeping with him, why else would he drive her?" they started talking and talking, but she couldn't care less, for all she cared, they could have kissed her ass right there and then and she still wouldn't be impressed, after all she didn't live twice only for some humans to put her down with their bad mouthing

Nanami pulled over quickly, allowing her to get inside as he greeted the other people who waved politely at him, as if they didn't talk about his personal life like some gossip magazine a few moments ago.

The ride was quiet, not even the sound of the radio was breaking the silence. The rain was still falling, making the roads slippery and forcing Nanami to focus even more on the road ahead.

"Thank you for driving me" she said, attempting to make conversation as she hated the silence more than anything

He simply nodded as his eyes were still focused on the road, not having the will or energy to spare so small talk for the young woman.

"Is this the building?" he asked as he drove in front of a grey apartment complex that looked a bit too old for his taste

"Yes" she grabbed her purse, but hesitate to grab the door handle

A loud sigh went past her lips as she turned to face Nanami once again, the expression on her face was surely new and intriguing to the man.

"Would you like to come upstairs for a glass of wine?It would be a shame to enjoy it all by myself" she asked him without her specific smile
