14) the proposal 💝💘

(The day before the proposal)
"Karan yaar says the line properly, please..." Arjun whines 

"sir, you should relax. let me try again in a while. you guys practice the dance," Karan replies.

With a stern look on his face, Arjun says "how many times have I told you not to call me sir in that last 6 months?"

holding his ears Karan says "sorry just a habit."

Laughing Arjun says "well if your sister says yes you will have to change that habit very soon..."

Also laughing Karan says "you haven't proposed and she still said yes yet, so I got a little more time till I have to change that habit."

"I feel so nervous Karan what should do?" Arjun asks 

Tanvi replies "for starters be glad that you're proposing tomorrow and secondly we still have to practice." 

Karan says nodding "What Tanvi said is right, plus you aren't joining the dance till Tanvi pulls you up onto the dance floor. and one more thing why are you worrying compared to you Tanvi is doing most of the dancing with the rest of the group."

"Thanks, guys! okay, for now, let's get back to practice," Arjun says with a smile 

(the next day in the Nair household)

"Akka, you are going to love the venue," Karan says while buttoning his shirt up 

confused Pooja asks "how do you know that?"

"Tanvi and Arjun annayya took me there yesterday, that's how," Karan replies with a smile 

"so do you know what's happening at the venue?" Pooja asks 

"other than the event that their family planned not really," Karan replies 

"Anyway, what's going on between you and Tanvi?" Pooja asks again

"what do you mean?" Karan asks confused 

after thinking for a while Pooja says "uhh... that you guys seem closer than you look."

Karan innocently replies "no nothing. we were friends since high school that's it." 

"Are you sure? because it looks like you have a crush on her..." pooja says cautiously 

"what? no!" Karan replies 

"I don't believe you!" pooja states 

"Fine I do like her," Karan says not wanting to lie to his sister 

"that's cute!" Pooja says smiling 

(in the Patel household)

"so are you excited Tanvi?" Arjun asks his sister 

smiling Tanvi replies "I'm the one that's supposed to be asking you that."

"how come?" Arjun asks innocently 

"did you forget that you are proposing to Pooja ma'am today?" Tanvi asks 

"oh god don't remind me. I'm shaking at the thought of her saying no," Arjun says 

"what? so you think that ma'am is going to reject you?" Tanvi says with a confused look on her face 

"it's a possibility and I'm shitting my pants thinking about it.." Arjun says shuddering 

With a mischievous glint in her eyes, Tanvi says "well she would have rejected you a long time ago if she didn't like you. she clearly likes you annayya." 

Laughing Arjun says "I agree, but I can't say the same about you..."

"what do you mean?" Tanvi asks very confused and slightly annoyed 

"I mean I don't think that Karan likes you back," Arjun replies with the same mischievous glint in his eyes that Tanvi had a couple of seconds before in his 

"what do you mean? why would Karan like me?" Tanvi asks 

With a cheeky smile, Arjun says "because of who you are, it's written all over his face when he looks at you. and don't think I haven't caught you stealing glances at Karan whenever you get the chance."

"you are trying to change the subject from you annayya!" Tanvi says firmly 

"no, I'm not..." Arjun says thinking slightly 

"you never pause to think unless you generally are trying to build suspense when telling some good news," Tanvi states

Accepting his defeat Arjun says "fine I was, but come on admit that you like Karan." 

"will you shut up if I tell you the truth? that includes not annoying me!" Tanvi asks 

"yes!" Arjun shouts slightly jumping up 

"Yeah I like him. so what?" Tanvi says 

"nothing just happy that my baby sister likes someone who might be a part of my family soon," Arjun replies 

(during the car ride to the venue)

as soon as Pooja and Karan get in the car Arjun says "just a warning to the two of you, our family is crazy."

"you haven't met ours," Pooja replies 

Arjun says without looking at Pooja, who was sitting next to him "okay just to prepare both of you, we have several performances lined up for the event." 

"oh, that's nice. I can't wait to see them!" Pooja replies 

Arjun, Tanvi and Karan smile at what Pooja says 

(the proposal)

one of Arjun's family members come up to mim and tell him that they are on next. Arjun calls Karan and Tanvi.

Once they arrive he says "Tanvi get the dance group and get ready to go on to the dance floor. Karan get the mic and once this performance is over go on and say your line... properly I beg you."

😁smiling Karan says "your worrying too much. The performance is nearly over come one Tanvi."

~5 minutes later~

Karan goes on to the dance floor and says "hi everyone. I'm a student of one of your family or friend Arjun Patel. I'm sorry to disturb today's event but my sister's student Tanvi Patel and a couple of other people have put a dance together for her I hope you enjoy"

As soon as Karan walks of the dance floor Tanvi enters and starts dancing. Slowly one by one the rest of the dance group joins in. 3 minutes into the dance Tanvi walks towards Arjun and pulls him up. Arjun also joins in.

At the end of the dance Arjun goes down on his knee and asks Pooja "will you marry me?" 💞

Pooja nods is reply. 🎯🎯
