[Third Person's POV]

Saturday night meant the occurence of the dreadful meeting. Commander Choi had gathered his men inside his tent where a wide diorama of Montverde sat on top of his table. It wasn't much, just a plain of brown soil with little lumps to represent the hills and mountains. There were little makeshift buildings and houses grouped together to form a village or a town, depending on the location. Commander Choi dug out tunnel-like paths, translating them as their military route upon entering and exiting the area.

"..and from Armand, we may use the roundabout to reach Grigórre to meet Corporal Sy and the remaining privates.." Commander Choi explained, drawing his twig everywhere.

Sergeant Kang raised his hand. "How are we so sure that Nordame ain't waiting for ambush on our way, sir?"

"Corporal Sy has been spying for me these nights," Commander Choi confidently replied. "Nordame has been pulling out from Galyette to focus on Montverde."

Y/N stared at the photo on her hands. Private Lim's family smiled innocently at her. She and her medical team were invited to chime in too since Commander Choi had initiated a risky plan right ahead. She sat at the very back, just near the entrance. Maria was beside her, watching attentively as their boss kept talking. Doctor Hoon was jotting notes on her little pad.

"He did mention Nordame taking a usual route in the open. Since they have taken down our boys in Montverde, it's a little too carefree for them to access the main roads at the moment." Commander Choi gritted.

"Basically, we sneak in." Corporal Pierre croaked.

"Precisely."

"Do we all move, commander?" Maria asked. "What about the coastal boundaries? The camp?"

"We must abandon site." Commander Choi insisted. "Since Nordame and its fucking allie have already taken over our place, it's best if we chase after them now. I'm sick of this hide and seek we're playing."

Y/N bit her lip. She flipped the photograph over. She never knew Private Lim had written something on the back with red marker.

"Don't forget me." She silently read.

Her heart clenched. Sure, the poor soldier's family will remember him, but in a grieving way. She recalled the request he had asked her right before he left the world. She couldn't figure out how she was supposed to give the photo to his wife, knowing she might break down upon the news of his untimely passing.

"We need to go by unit. We can't charge in one lump." Commander Choi prompted. "Sergeant Kang, I'll give you around 150 men to lead. You'll gather the remaining Montverde and Laiman troops in Hampshire. That's where you'll station."

"Roger that, sir."

"Corporal Pierre."

The elder glanced up. "Aye?"

"Corporal Sy mentioned about 80 more soldiers stuck in Denburgh. Take them with the 20 boys from Galyette."

"Copy, commander."
