A week had passed since Ryuga teamed up with Alice and went on a so called adventure.

By adventure, he meant running around doing random requests, somehow building up EXP.

In that one week, doing random quests had leveled him up from 10 to 14, mostly because they were doing chores instead of hunting down monsters.

The worst part wasn't that they weren't fighting. Okay, maybe it was. But the main point was that he couldn't use his MECHA!

Ryuga sighed as they handed in what had to be the 20th report to the guild. Alice looked at the man, "Hmm, what's wrong Ryuga?"

The man scratched his neck, "No, its just... We've been just doing small requests the past week."

The princess nodded, "Yeah?"

Ryuga grimaced, finding it hard to get his frustrations out in the face of the princess' innocence, "Well, see... We started with a hunt."

Alice nodded, "And?"

The man held back a frown, "I don't know how to put it, but it's been kinda lame?"

The blonde paused, "Oh..."

The girl broke into giggles, and Ryuga stared at her blankly, "It's not funny."

Alice shook her head as she reigned her laughter in, "Nonono, its just, I thought you didn't want to fight."

Ryuga deadpanned at her, "Seriously?"

The princess nodded, "Well, you kinda spaced out a few times when we were on hunts... So..."

The man paused, that had when he was always checking his lists, so that was on him then. Ryuga sighed, "Look, sorry about that... There's a reason for that."

Alice raised an eyebrow, "Really?"

The man nodded, "How about we get the toughest hunting request and I show you?"

The blonde's eyes gleamed with excitement, "You serious?!"

Ryuga nodded, "Yeah, I believe I've gotten strong enough."

Alice bolted towards the guild without another word, before returning to drag the man along with her. Ryuga simply sighed, ignoring the stares from the bypassers.

...

A short moment later, Kim stared at the two blankly, "Let me rephrase this. You two want to take on a dragon? A category Jack dragon?!"

Alice nodded, "Well, that's the strongest one among the requests. So yeah."

The receptionist glanced at Ryuga, "And this was your idea?"

Ryuga had the decency to chuckle, "Ah well, I think we're strong enough."

Kim deadpanned at him, "Pardon my language, but bitch please, even the two other heroes are barely managing with category 5 monsters, and they have twice the number of your party!"

Alice grinned, "Ah but they didn't have me, nor Ryuga here. He's literally a one man army!"

Kim palmed her face, remembering the giant that fought the drakon a while ago, "You know what, I won't question this anymore. Just take it, and get a horn or scale from the dragon or whatever."

Ryuga smiled awkwardly as he took the paper, "Thanks."

Kim waved him off, "Get going, I need a drink."

Alice piped in, "You can't drink on duty Kim."

The woman grumbled, "Don't remind me."

The two then promptly left the guild, ignoring the stares from the adventurers around them.
