Link's POV
"I'm sorry," I shook my head and took a couple steps back. "I think that you two have got the wrong person."

"What do you mean?" The man stepped forward. "Don't you remember us? We're you're kids!"

"A-All I know is that I woke up in this mountain and a voice told me to wake up."

"A voice?" The man muttered to himself. He looked at the woman curiously. "I wonder if it's..."

"Let's stop bombarding him with questions," The woman nudged him. "The shrine must've taken away all his memory. It's not that surprising if you think about it though. He's been asleep for 100 years! Something wrong was bound to happen in all that time." Shrine? 100 years? I'm so confused!

"I guess," the man sighed. "We should start making lunch. I'm sure you're hungry."

Hearing what he said made me recognize the rumbling in my stomach. "Yeah, I wouldn't mind something to eat."

"Good! Follow me."

The man and woman led me down the hill a bit to where an unused campsite was. We sat on the wooden logs around it. The man opened up his bag and got out a pan, some bird eggs, and some hylian rice. He then grabbed some flint and got out a sword. He scraped the sword against the flint near the wood and a fire began to burn. The woman began to work with the hylian rice and the man cracked the eggs and started to cook them.

"So, who are you two?" I took the plate that the woman handed me.

"I'm Liana," she smiled.

"And I'm Valik," he added.

"Valik and Liana?" I said under breath. All of a sudden, the headache came back.

"Valik, Liana, do you two want to lead the way?" I asked. I turned my head to that familiar red fish-person. She was carrying a small picnic basket. "Your mother and I will be right behind you."

"Yeah!" Valik jumped. "Come on, Liana!" He started running off.

"Vawik, wait for me!" Liana stumbled and ran after him. The two started to giggle and I couldn't help but smile.

I slightly shook my head and shut my eyes tight. The headache went away and I sighed relieved.

"Are you alright?" Liana asked.

I opened my eyes and noticed that the two were looking at me concerned. "Yeah... I was just... remembering, I think."

"Really?!" She almost dropped her plate of food.

Valik took my plate and put some rice and a fried egg on it. He gave it back to me and handed me a fork, "What did you remember?"

I looked down at my plate, "You both were very little. I told you two to find a spot ahead. I think that we were having a picnic. Assuming that the basket that the red fish-person had was for a picnic that is."

"I remember that! We all had so much fun. I also remember putting jam all over Liana's doll. Sorry about that."

"Oh yeah! I was so mad at you," she chuckled. "Anyway, you said something about a red fish-person, right dad?"

"Uh, y-yeah," I nodded. It still feels weird to be called dad, even though I know now that these two are my kids.

"Then that's mom. Her name is Mipha and she's a Zora."

"So that's who Mipha is. I guess that also explains..."

"Why we look the way that we do?" Valik finished my sentence. He took a bite of his food.

"Yeah. Wait if I was in this 'shrine' for 100 years, then how are you two still alive?"

"The Zoras live long lives and take longer to grow old. Liana and I, however, got a mix. At first we aged as fast as Hylians, but then when we both reached the age of 50, we've been growing old at the same pace as the Zoras. I know, it's kind of weird, but that's just genetics."

After we finished eating, the two led me down to the tall tower. While we were there, they taught me, or I guess helped me remember, how to use the Sheikah Slate. They then had me teleport us to the top of the tower. As I looked around at the scenery, I couldn't help but feel anxious when I looked at the giant, broken castle.

"What's that castle over there?" I pointed to it.

"That's Hyrule Castle," Liana informed. "It-" The ground started to shake, even the tower was shaking. The three of us held on tight to the railing. "W-What's happening?"

A purple barrier of some kind start to encircle the castle. A bright light was also shining from the middle.

"The barrier is back?" Valik said in disbelief.

"But I thought that Zelda was keeping it dormant!" Liana exclaimed.

"Link," it was like the light was speaking to me, "I have been keeping Ganon dormant for all these years, but my power is dwindling. You are our final hope. The fate of Hyrule rests with you!"

The ground stopped shaking and I took a couple steps back. "That voice... was coming from the castle."

The two turned to me. Valik stepped toward me, "You must've been hearing Zelda. Ever since you died, she's been keeping Ganon dormant with her power. Now that you're back, we can finally defeat Ganon and have peace be restored."

"How? Who's Ganon? Who's Zelda? What do you two mean?"

Liana put her hand on my shoulder, "That's where mom comes in."
