Chapter 37

Loki and I spent our honeymoon in Asgard.
After two weeks we had returned to Earth to continue our work as Avengers and Loki, as a gift, had got me a black cat, as he knew how much I liked them, and we had named him Fenrir.
Needless to say, reporters somehow found out about our marriage and we were in almost every newspaper, but I didn't care that much.
I was happy and that was the important thing.
Since returning to the tower I occasionally had nausea and headaches, but I hadn't paid much attention to it.
One morning, immediately after breakfast, the alarm went off.
-Come on, get dressed quickly, we have work to do.- Dad said.
Everyone quickly puts on our suits and we went out.
-Aliens? Seriously?- Nat asked as she fought two.

I lay down, closed my eyes and passed my body with a scanner.
-How long will it take?- I asked.
-About ten minutes.- he said and at that moment Fenrir entered and began to purr.
-Okay.- I smiled at him -Hey little one.- I said stroking him.
-While we wait would you like a cup of tea?-
-Yes, thank you.- I replied and Bruce went into the kitchen and came back with two cups.
-Here you are.- he said handing me one.
-Thank you very much.- I said taking a sip.
Suddenly we heard the door open and he heard me calling.

-We are in the laboratory.- I answered going to meet them.
-Oh, there you are.- Loki said hugging me.
-Is everything ok?- asked dad.
-We are waiting for the results.- I said -The blood tests showed nothing, I did the scan.- I said.

-Less than ten minutes.- I said and then sat down on the sofa.
After a while Bruce arrived.

I went back to the tower and ran to the bathroom.
I took the test and waited.

I was pregnant.
I touched my belly and felt her eyes tingle.
I was going to be a mother.
I took the test and ran to Bruce.

-Yes.- I said smiling, I sent Loki to call Odin and Frigga, then I told everyone to gather in the hall.
-So we have a very important announcement to make.- I said, holding the test behind my back.

Mom, Nat, Wanda and Frigga understood and ran to hug me.

I sat down on the sofa and Fenrir leaned on my stomach, as if he understood.
Months passed and we discovered that we were expecting twins.
After nine months and one morning my waters broke.
-Loki...- I called him -Loki!-

-I think my waters have broken.- I said.
-What are you waiting for? Come on let's go.- he said getting up and we went to call Wanda and Nat.
After four hours of labor I was able to deliver the two boys.
-You were very good.- Loki said, holding my hand.
-How are the little ones?- I asked panting with pain.
-They are fine.- he smiled at me -Do you already know what to call them?-
-Vali the first and Narfi the second.-
-Okay, dear, you can rest now.- He said giving me a kiss on the head.
A little later I fell asleep.
