I : The Orphanage

"Marinette can you get me a pail of water please?" Alya, who was holding a sponge, said

"On it!" Marinette replied cheerfully as she grabbed a pail of water by the pail

Marinette, a normal girl with a normal life, but there's a secret about her that no one knows yet

Not even her

Marinette stood beside Alya as they started scrubbing the walls

"Alya is it just me or are mosquitoes biting me a lot?"

"A huge storm did just hit us the other day, guess those mosquitoes just hatched eggs somewhere and started biting you"

"How amazing" She responded sarcastically "When I see them I'm gonna teach them a lesson, I'm getting rashes from them"

"Girl unless you can kill them with a fly swatter your no match for them"

Rose, who peeked her head out of a corner, made her way towards the two with Juleka "Girls Sister Caline said lunch was ready"

"Thanks Rose, we'll be right there!" Marinette said as both her and Alya set aside the buckets and sponges wiping their hands to make their way into the orphanage

Marinette had lost her parents at a very young age, she never knew what ever happened to them, the only thing she knew was that she was left at the doorstep by a man that disappeared into thin air right after the door opened

She always wanted to know more about her future but it wasn't like there was anyone who knew about her past right?

"Last one inside washes the dishes!" Alix said as she ran past the girls to enter the Orphanage first, she was always the athletic type, no one could ever beat her

Mylene sat by herself at the bench breathing in the morning sunshine until Alix decided to scare her making her jump in fear

"Oh come on Alix that's not nice! You know how Mylene is" Alya said as she positioned herself infront of Mylene

"It's just a prank Alya chill!" Alix replied as she crossed her arms before entering the Orphanage

Her pranks were always harmless though, she never meant to hurt Mylene, she just liked to scare her sometimes

Sometimes might be an understatement though...

"Does everybody have their baskets?" Marinette asked picking up a basket

"Mmhm! I'm so excited to pick apples!" Rose answered feeling very enthusiastic

"I'm so excited to taste your apple pie Mari!" Alya said envisioning the delicious taste of apple pie in her head

"We haven't even picked the apples yet, come on girls follow me!"

This was Marinette's everyday life, she spent her days at the Orphanage with her six dearest friends. Everyday together they would cook, clean, and even feed the animals. These things never felt like a chore to them, they really enjoyed helping out. Unlike other Orphanages the people here were really nice, especially Sister Caline. She was always so kind and understanding to everyone, she was even everyone's teacher. Everyone loved and respected her.

Marinette lived a normal life at the Orphanage, nothing out of the ordinary, but soon it will change
