Old business

KAZ POV

I stood quiet as the bathroom door opened and out stepped the man. Anger rushed through me but i restrained myself. I had to wait for the perfect moment. This monster doesn't deserve an easy death. Oh no, I am going to make his death painful and long because that's what monsters like them deserve.

He walked towards the big window, giving me the opportunity to sneak up to him from behind. One hit on the back of the head and he was out. I took the ropes that were holding the curtains together, making the room even darker, and tied him to a chair. I made sure his hands were tied tighter behind him. He's an inferni and I won't take chances.

After a couple of minutes he began to wake up. It took him some time to realize what was happening.

"What have you done to me? Who are you?" he struggled to get free.

"Let's say I'm the devil and you have to pay for your sins." I said taking another chair for myself and sitting in front of him. "Now tell me, why do you think I'm here tonight?" 

"How am I supposed to know?" he answered, still trying to escape.              "No, no, no, that's not the right answer." i say and hit one of his legs with my cane. He winced but didn't make sound.

"I don't know what are you talking about!" he shouted. He paid that with a punch.                             

"I am going to ask you one more time, what's the reason you think i'm here to punish you tonight. What is that one thing that has happened, let's say seven months ago, that made me come here tonight?" i helped him a little. His eyes widened, suddenly remembering the event.

"Allegra, that b-" he couldn't even finish the sentence when i whipped my cane across his face.   
"Don't you dare speak her name" 

"She deserved it. Walking around in a place where she didn't belong. She was weak." he answered, spitting blood. Another blow to his head, he screamed in pain.                "Then you deserve this then." I said and hit him in the chest with the crow head. 

THIRD PERSON POV

Kaz was furious. Not only he had not regretted what he had done, but he had the courage to speak bad about her. The plans for a slow and painful death flew out of the window, as did the man. He saw him hit the ground below him. The guards would probably find him in the morning.

Kaz left the room in a rush to go at the meeting spot. He got greeted by Jesper.

"Where are the girls?" he asked.         "I saw them enter the room and went to check for more guards. We're clear, now just wait." I kept Allegra's secret as she had asked.

While Kaz and Jesper were waiting, the girls were passing the tunnel. Halfway through it their torch seemed to slowly lose flame.

"What the...." Inej spoke but was interrupted by Allegra who grabbed her arm.

"Well, well who do we have here" someone came out of the shadows. Both of the girls froze. They thought they had escaped. Looks like they had run out of luck.

Sorry for short chapter but I'm having some struggles with the storyline but i wanted to give you guys something hope you enjoy this. And i like leaving you guys in a cliffhanger.
