Chapter 7:Hunter

"Yeah I sure could but-"Kaida was then interuppted by her father

"Kaida!There's another Skywolf attack!It's led by both of them,we need all the help we can get,so bring him along!"
She nodded and she dragged me along to Ryuu who was already ready to fly

"Kaida what's going on!?What're Skywolfs and what did your father mean by "led by the both of them"!?"I asked confused

"I'll explain on the way,we need to go now!"Kaida said,rushed.

So we got on Ryuu,me on the back and she explained

"Long ago,my great-grandfather had a conflict with Skylord and Mistregale,the leaders of the Skywolves,large canines with bird-like wings,that live in this world with us.I never found out what happenened but from then on,a boundary formed between us and the Skywolves,now they've accused us of taking their territories,and now their taking there territories back by attacking little by little.Now the'yve planned a full scale attack,and we can only pray for the best"I then shut up and we flew quietly.

When we arrived I had never seen that much chaos,there were dragons on one side and skywolves on the other,everywhere there was blood and screeches of pain.

"Mania must be in a good mood with all this death"Kaida said.

Then I saw a shadow flicker by,with no hesitation,I grabbed the sword and flung at it,then my eyes met a skywolf,it's eyes were a striking green,it grabbed my sword with it's front claws and leapt over and sprrad it's wings,then I had a clear look at it,it was a dark grey,close to brown with curved black stripes here and there,then I noticed,it was heading for Kaida...

She was facing a group of three skywolves,manuevering through two of them while Ryuu faced one of them...then I was falling,then I felt something carrying me to where the wolf was,inches from Kaida,I looked down,then it was Ruby,who slowly formed,this time into her normal red.

"I thought you already moved on..."I asked

"Doesn't mean I can't come back and stop my rider from dying"she said with a grin

"Shall we?"

"Yes"

Then Ruby sped up and I leapt from her back,onto the skywolf's,then I gripped his wings,he missed Kaida but sent us crasing to the ground.Then Ruby got her two talons amd caught me,I got on her back amd sheheld on to the skywolf.

We reached the ground and I looked at the skywolf,who seemed to get a fresh scar from his left eyebrow to near his mouth

"Who are you?Why did you prevent me from killing that pest!?"The wolf screamed,no not in my mind but through his mouth

"Why do you want to kill Kaida!?"I asked clenching my fist

"You don't get it do you!?She's the firstborn of your chief the fat idiot!"He said changing his posture

"I know that,dog!But-"I said suddenly interrupted.

"My name is Hunter,and if you dare call me a "dog" I swear,you'll regret it!"he snarled

Ruby growled and he changed his glance to Ruby,then to me.Then in the corner of my eye I saw a dagger thrown into Hunter's direction

"Duck!"I said,deflecting the dagger with my sword,and Hunter raised his head to look at me confused

"Why did you help me?"he asked his eyes filled with no more hate

"Nobody deserves to die,everybody deserves a second chance at life,and if they waste it,then they're gone"I said,smiling
