Chapter 13:Betrayal and Disbelief

"No don't!"I said

"Artemis move!"Kaida said

"NO!I won't let you kill him!"I said

"Very well then,goodbye Artemis"Then she swung her blade,aiming for me......

(Two days ago)

"Dang,that flight really helped!"I said,streacthing my arms

"Sure did!Now about Scepthis ahould we see him?"Kaida asked

"Yeah sure"then we slipped off our dragons and headed for the dungeon,when we enetered,it looked like it was decorated,in red

"What the?"I said I turned to Scepthis there was bruises,cuts and gashes all over his body,he was unconscious

"Who did this?"Kaida asked.I headed over to Scepthis and lifted his head,he was alive

"He needs help"I said

"But he's suppose to-"Kaida began

"He'll die!Now help me clean him and then help him!"I said,I unchained him and dragged his limp body over to the caretaker

"I'm sorry but Ethan will have my head if I'll do this"he said

"Well if you won't i'll have yours!Now get on it!"I shouted,intimitdated he quickly healed Scepthis and we brought him back to the dungeon and chained him.Then we began to clean the mess.The caretaker said for him to take it easy,since he lost a lot of blood.

"W-why do I feel no pain?"Scepthis winced then looked at us

"Call it 'mercy'"I said

"Who did this to you?"I asked

"Ethan"Scepthis muttered.Kaida flinched and turned to Scepthis

"Why?"she asked

"My punishment for killing his men"he muttered

"Kaida we need to talk,Scepthis don't move or your it's gonna hurt"I said

When we left I looked at Kaida.

"I think we need to talk to Ethan tomorrow because i've had enough"I said.Kaida nodded and we went to sleep preparing for tomorrow

(At afternoon)

It was time for two things:The talk with Ethan and the deadline to get to Scepthis,as we went to Ethan he greeted us and I leaned against a wall.

"So why are your hands wet?"I asked

"Oh just cleaning after the whole dead bodies thing"Ethan casually replied

"Yeah,but your sword's wet too.You didn't use it a while ago,so what were you doing?"Kaida asked

"Cleaning it,it was dirty"Ethan said

"So why aren't we allowed to visit the caretakers?You know if something happened to Scepthis?"I asked

"Why are you asking all this?"Ethan said narrowing his eyes

"Lets just say we put two and two together and found a certain creature full of stab marks and gashes,and when we visited the caretaker,he said a certain someone would have his head if he were to heal that same creature.And after that,he gave away your name saying you tortured him"I said

Ethan laughed and me and Kaida were confused

"You actually fell for it!"He said

"Well here,I did torture Scepthis and I knew you woud find out,so you would come to me,with you leaving I could finally kill the beast!"Ethan laughed
