As the curtains were drawn open, I awkwardly waved at them. Samantha stopped crying, and the sight of me seemed to wash away everyone's emotions. Without even questioning it, Zane moved his finger, signaling for me to start climbing down so they could all follow afterwards.
I did as I was told and tried my best to climb down faster, making sure to do so without making any noise. My fingers clenched tightly onto the edge of the house bricks, desperately trying not to fall.
Elliot was directly above me. "Go faster, Sophie!" he hissed impatiently.
"I'm trying!!" I whispered back, focusing on the placement of my feet as my hair covered my face.
Elliot purposely bumped his ass on my head repeatedly, making it even harder to concentrate.
"Stop that!" I bumped his ass back with my head, frustrated with his rushing.
"Stop messing around and climb down." Zane said quietly, looking down at us with caution, making sure not to fall. Then, he bumped his ass on Elliot's head.
"Stop bumping your asses on each other, you weirdos." Alex said, purposely kicking Zane's shoulder.
"What the fuck, Alex?" Zane held onto a side pole attached to the house, then slapped Alex's ass.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa there-"Elliot says, "Are we getting all getting fruit here?" He smirked, and I rolled my eyes.
"How about everyone shuts up so we don't get caught." Sam whispered and sighed from all the way at the top. I couldn't see her, but I could hear her clearly.
"Sam, you know you're fruity yourself." Elliot mumbled. Both Alex and Elliot laughed, and I smiled because it was funny.
"I'll kick all of you down!" Zane snapped loudly, making everyone gasp. He spoke too loudly.
"Zane, shut the fuck up!" Everyone hushes him. He fell silent, looking like a sad puppy being scolded, and we hurried to climb down.
A few branches cracked in the distance. "Wait, stop moving." Sam whispered. Everyone froze in place.
We heard footsteps approaching, and we all stared anxiously at the corner of the house. I could feel panic creeping in.
I looked up at them, and they stared down at me, urging me to jump down.
"What? No!" I hiss, we not even near the ground. Does it even look like I'm a sky diver?
"Jump, I'll pay the medical bills." Elliot says, trying to kick me down.
"Stop moving." Alex whispers.
Everyone froze again, waiting nervously. We held our breath, hoping we wouldn't get caught.
