"Yes, I am her boyfriend." he confirmed, approaching Mrs, Lawrence to extend his hand.

His eyes locked onto her, his gaze was intense and alluring, purposely trapping her into his seduction and charm.

Nicholas eyes scanned the room, pausing on Mya, who stared back at him. After a moment, he shifted his gaze to Nathaniel, who was slouched on the couch with his arms crossed, his head resting on a cushion, and one leg crossed over.

Ian noticed Nicholas and sighed, fully aware of Nicholas's behavior, then settled down back in the chair comfortably to play on his device.

"Non metterci un'eternità, qualunque cosa diavolo farai." Ian spoke in a different language. Nicholas grinned mischievously, "Certo, cugino."

("Don't take forever, whatever the hell you do.")
("Sure, Cousin.")

Ian averted his eyes from Nicholas, glaring before refocusing on his game.

Mya's leg shifted slightly forward, catching my attention. Her eyes met mine, and she tilted her head towards Nicholas, silently questioning if he was really my boyfriend. I shook my head, denying it.

My heart started pounding in my chest, the sensation almost as if it might burst through. I glanced at him and caught his eyes sneaking a look at me. A smirk appeared on his lips.

Mrs. Lawrence glanced at his outstretched hand but did not take it. Nicholas withdrew his hand, not bothered by her rudeness.

"Hmmm.." Ian teased, "Sembra che qualcuno non ti abbia stretto la mano. Come ti senti Nicola?" Nicholas understood, chuckling in response.

("Looks like someone hasn't shaken your hand. How are you feeling Nicholas.")

"So, you're her boyfriend?" Mrs. Lawrence asked, hoping it was a misunderstanding, arms crossed.

"Of course, she's..." Nicholas paused, searching for the right words, squinting slightly. "She's the love of my life."

Ian laughs, "Assolutamente no, non ti interessa nessuno."

("Absolutely not, you are not interested in anyone.")

"E allora, Ian?" Nicholas responded back.

("So what?")

Elliot shot a frustrated glance at Ian and Nicholas, he's irritated. Leaning on one leg, he crossed his arms tightly across his chest.

My lips tightened and one of my fingers twitched as I heard him lie about his feelings for me. Surprise fills Mya face, her eyebrows shoot up as she glances at me. I mouth the word "no" to her silently, repeating it serval times.

"Smettila di fare i tuoi stupidi giochi infantili e andiamo." Ian muttered, his face showing disinterest in what was happening. Nicholas ignored him.

("Stop playing your stupid childish games and let's go.")

Elliot's mother glanced at Ian, and Nicholas noticed.

"I'm sorry, my cousin here isn't great with English. He's British but was raised speaking Italian." he spoke cautiously, pointing at his cousin.

We glanced at Ian, knowing full well he could speak English perfectly, except for Elliot mother.

Why did he lie? Nicholas stares at Ian, waiting.

Ian cleared his throat. "Ya..Me soray, Englis no hood..." Ian mumbled, his voice changed to high pitched and unconvincing as he stared at his phone. Nicholas held back a laugh behind his hand, his lips stretching into a smile that I could see.
