Not too good news

I squeeze the water away from my hair and dried it with a towel leaving it moist. My hair dryer went haywire, all of a sudden, what a pity.

My reflection in the mirror looked simple. Simple indeed. That was what I was.

A normal girl. Cassandra Starla Walker. I wasn't as beautiful as Veronica, I wasn't as hot as Veronica, I wasn't as popular as Veronica, and I literally didn't have the big enough boobs like some of the other girls. I was just me.

But boys weren't into me because of my boobs. They were into me because of my legs, or so Cassidy had mentioned one day KC had called me an idiotic walking pair of boobs. He was so mad that day.

I continued to rub a towel over my hair, eager to dry it up. Sleeping with a hair this moist could give me the possibility to catch a cold.

I smiled at my self as I draped the towel on the sink before adjusting the one tied around my body. I was pretty hot though.

I kept staring at my self in the mirror. There were so many specific things that I couldn't get out of my mind.

I had been practically thinking about it over and over again in an endless loop.

Placing my hand on either side of the sink, I leaned in closer to the mirror to stare at my eyes. Those grey eyes. One of my most beautiful features.

A sigh escaped my lips as I thought of it again. Hunter Caine huhn? That name somehow made my skin tingle.

"Sandy, Sandy I figured it out!!" Cas came running into the bathroom, her phone clutched tightly in her arms as she stared at me." I found out who Hunter Caine is."

My eyes widened at the hearing of the good news. A wide smile curved on the corner of my lips as I made my way out of the bathroom and unto the bed. Katie, Amber and Danica were there helping out too.

"Well?" I questioned staring at them wide eyed.

"You are not gonna believe this." Danica stated, her brows pinched in concern as she moved the laptop that they had all previously been looking at towards me.

I let out a sharp breath before peering at the screen. My tummy dropped when I carefully read the history of this so called Hunter Caine.

He was a fucking serial killer of sorts. He had been in jail for fifteen good years, even the report said he was a sadistic freak. He is the most feared man in werewolf history. No one knew his backstory.

If I had knots in my stomach before now I had butterflies, dancing around as my eyes landed on his photo.

He had broad shoulders, I couldn't tell if he was tall but he looked like one, his dark alluring raven hair fell over his emerald green colored eyes. An eye color that I had hardly seen on male werewolf alphas. A sharp jawline on his nicely framed face.

I don't know why, but...

Just staring at him made my wolf wag her tail.

"SO." Katie said to me.

I took my eyes off the laptop and stared at them, I had no words.

"Um.. I" I stuttered." I don't know."

"Well, surely you didn't think that even after you find out who this guy is you could do something to stop him did you?" Amber asked with a frown.

I didn't answer.

Truth was, I actually did think that I could make a difference. Or maybe, as the sister to a beta, show no fear. But all I felt was fear. If being a coward felt like this, then I never wanted to be scared.

"That girl to me, told me that we should be careful. So we should be." I advised shifting strands of wet hair away from my eyes.

Both fear and worry coursed through my veins as I stared at the picture of this so called Tyrant Alpha. Danica may have noticed this because she reached out and put her hands on mine, squeeze it gently.

"Don't worry, I'm a vamp." She shrugged with a smirk." I'm pretty sure I could protect you guys."

" Oh but he is the Tyr-" I began

"Oh come on Sandy, some idiot can name themselves the Tyrant Alpha and yet takes one April fool prank to get them running like freaks." Cassidy smiled too, giving my arm a squeeze.

"I don't know about you guys but," Katie chuckled raising her hands." I'm sure we can take care of our selves, right?"

"Yeah, we are the badass of the 21st century." Amber joined in. Everyone wanted to join in and add their own opinions." And hot, we all presume."

"We are we." Cas announced putting her hand forth and grinning at everyone." We are werewolves."

"We are the best." I giggled putting my hand on Cassidy's.

"We are girls for life." Amber out her hands over mine.

"And family." Katie put out her hand over Amber's.

We all waited. Waited for someone to say something and put her hand over our s but it never came.

We all turned to look at Danica who stared at her long nails with those sheepishly sad puppy eyes.

"Danny babe, what are you doing?" I questioned.

"Yeah, put out your hand over here." Cassidy giggled gesturing her towards our hand.

"B-b-but, I'm not a werewolf." Danica reasoned with a stutter.

"You will always be a part of our pack Danica. Werewolf or not, you will always be out little Omega in the four of us." I assured her with a smile.

One big one spread across her lips as she giddily put her hand over ours." I love you guys."

" Same here." Cas said then she stared at us." But we must promise... We must promise to always watch each other's back. Okay?"

"Okay." We chorused.

Tomorrow was going to be a long day, college resumes and we are back to school.

And on with the Tyrant Alpha.
