Cassandra's POV

Shit.

Shit shit shit shit shit.

Terrible idea, hello Cassandra. How could I be so stupid? My breaths left me in hard ragged breaths as I raced beside the others in full speed. It seemed that our howl had thrown us into a terrible chase.

The stench of werewolves from a different pack hit my nose in a wave, followed by this hot and mingling scent that made my wolf howl. She was crying for me to turn back and investigate that attractive smell but my life was on the line. There was no way I was going to let myself be captured.

We all jerked to a halt and surveyed the woods. No one in sight yet but that didn't mean that we were out of their territory.

"Where are we, I-I can't remember the way back." Katie stuttered. I could smell her fear and hear her heart beat racing.

"Hey, kk, it's okay, we'll be okay, okay? And we will find a way." Cassidy said softly in other to pacify her then she turned to me." And we wouldn't have been in this mess if you all had listened to me anyway and now we are probably going to die."

"B-b-but I thought you said that we would be fine." Katie stuttered.

"I was trying to pacify." She rolled her eyes.

"Guys arguing is not gonna help us, we need to find the waterfall, pronto." Danica interjected angrily and dashed through the forest at breakneck speed. We followed behind, trying so hard to keep up with her vampire speed.

Suddenly, the smell of blood and  strawberries hit my oversensitive nose. I shouldn't be smelling this, it just told me that I was sensing something similar to what was in my head.

Immediately, we finally burst out to the waterfall where the water glittered under the silver moonlight. It was beautiful,but it wasn't the time to admire right now, we were in danger.

"Uh, where are we Danica, you're the vampire use your acute sense of smell and find us a way out of here or we will die!!!" Cassidy screamed in panic.

"Uh, uh I- I- I, I, I don't- oh for fuck sake I don't know okay,my sense of smell has been corroded by the stench of you werewolves." She screamed back at Cassidy angry and frustrated." All I can smell right now is wet fur and... and... blood."

She winced." We, like, really have to get out of here right now."

"Yeah tell us something we don't know " Amber rolled her eyes and began to the west." They say west rocks right? Come on, let's go this way."

When we began for west, a large dark grey wolf jumped out of the shadows and landed right in front of us, barring it teeth ferociously and growling angrily at us. We jumped back and retreated but the other sides we blocked until we stood in circle trapped at every corners by wolves.

"Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit , shit ,shit oh no." Danica muttered as we watched as some men emerged for the darkness too holding weapons reeking of wolfsbane and silver.

"Well, well, well what do we have here "
One of the men chuckled evily as he gripped the crossbow tightly in his hands. He had chestnut brown hair and blue eyes. My nails dig into my palms as I prepared myself to pounce on him if necessary." Look at that, some little girls don't know how to obey instructions of never entering another territory unannounced, huhn."

He said aiming the crossbow at me. Danica jumped to my defense hissing menacingly at him.

"Shit, she's a vampire." Another of the men said.

"Hmm" The man that had first talked said and moved his aim from me to Danica and fired. The arrow lodged deep in into her shoulder and she yelped in pain falling to her knees.

"Danica!!" Katie screamed. She turned to the man and growled angrily at him, her eyes giving it familiar glow of golden. She suddenly left our spot and pounced at the man that had fired shifting on the air and shredding her clothes as she did so.

The man swung the crossbow to the air and jabbing her hard to her right flank, sending sailing away and landing to the ground with a yelp.

"Katie, no!! " Amber and I screamed and made a move to run towards her bit we  blocked by some wolves.

"Aww, I thought that she would put up more of a fight." The man tsked, shaking his head disappointedly, as he walked towards her slowly.

"Hey no, leave her alone, leave her alone." Cassidy screamed

"Who, her?" The man said grabbing her by the fur raising her off the ground while she whimpered and kicked feebly at him.

"Hey, leave her alone." Danica screamed, jerking the arrow head out of her shoulder and charging towards the man. It was no use, before she could reach him there had already been a dozen of wolves pouncing on her and tearing her skin with their claws.

"No, hey, leave her alone, stop, please." I cried feeling the hot tears slip from my eyes. The men held us down while we tried to struggle to move. Our strength was no match for theirs.

We screamed and cried and begged. No mercy,I thought that this was going to be the end. And it was all my fault. If I had listened to Cassidy, we wouldn't have been here in this mess. It was all my fault.

"Hold them down, boys." The man chuckled walking over to me and drawing a wolfsbane coated dagger from the holster on his thigh." I'm gonna watch as you scream for mercy, bitch, and I'm gonna make you watch as I your own blood runs down from your open stomach."

Then he rose the daggers to the air... ready to strike me... ready to kill me... my fear deteriorating, I closed my eyes to meet my end until...

"Enough" A husky voice yelled from behind the shadows. It scared me, bit at the same time sent pleasing tingles running up and down my skin. My wolf purred inside despite.y fear and the wonder for the want of the scent he radiated.

The man with the daggers stopped immediately and moved a step away from me. I followed his gaze to the shadows were a pair of blood red orbs glowed in the dark. The scent hit my nose and my wolf wagged her tail. He smelt sweet and enclosing like sweet pine and and spices, disfiguring my thoughts.

A husky ,well built man stepped out of the shadows and looked down at me his hand balled into angry tight fist.

Hold on a minute, that face it looked so familiar. Suddenly, the realization hit my like a punch, right between my eyes was none other than...
