the lookout was quiet, the only thing breaking the silence was the sound of clays keys getting pulled out of the ignition.
"well this is it." clay turned to eden, her face still plastered with the same cheesy smile. this kind of thing was new to her.
"its so pretty up here." edens face glowed orange as the sun set along the skyline. lights started glowing along the town as it began to fade into the shade.
"ill set up the blankets, gimme a second." clay grabbed everything he needed from the back and laid it out on the bonnet of his car, careful that it wasn't still hot from the engine.
eden couldn't help but admire her friend doing this for her when she felt down. she'd only been in florida for five days and this was the nicest thing she'd received in years from another person either than brianna.
his tongue poking out slightly as he arranged the blankets, pillows and food along the car made eden chuckle as she got out to test the makeshift bed.
"is it good?" clay became shy as she nodded, glad that she was already having a good time.
"come sit." she grabbed a bag of sweets to share between themselves. "i love sunsets so much, i don't know why but i find them relaxing. they're so pretty." eden looked out over the city, she couldn't help but take a photo.
