"hello" eden spoke, dragging out the o as the chat greeted her back, "chill one tonight, i know its late so don't stay up if you have school tomorrow!"

eden smiled, she really did miss her viewers, even after streaming with george, her chat just felt more welcoming to her.

"but yeah im back in new york, back at mine and bri's apartment," eden relaxed in her chair, her viewers dealing with a blank screen while she said hello. "thought maybe a bit of bedwars, maybe slither.io im not sure yet, but i wanted to come say hi for a bit."

midway through edens stream, a discord call interrupted her one way conversation about when her and george both faked sick to play video games all day.

"dream?" eden wasn't surprised from his call as he used to join her late night streams, but somehow this felt weird to her.

"hi eden." it had been less than 24 hours since they spoke, and she missed that voice already. "how was the uk?"

eden breathed, as much as she missed this, she still wanted to scream at him, even after their conversation yesterday. "uh, good yeah. was nice seeing george's family again."

dream immediately noticed her choice of words, leaving out any mention of her own family. "thats good!" i missed you so much "im glad you had a good time."

dream and eden managed to play through two games of bedwars without chat noticing the tension between the two. it was times like these eden was glad she was faceless, because her eyes were bloodshot and her cheeks were rosy. the brunette couldn't tell if he was trying to make her forget, or just being friendly.

dream sighed, the leo already worn out from being overly competitive after two games, "thanks for the games eden."

she sighed, "of course, thanks for coming on stream."

eden finished not long after dream left, deciding that she was too delirious to continue without saying something stupid.

"hey." eden heard a sigh

"you wanted to talk?" eden shook her head, hating the fact she always made things more awkward than it had to be.

"yeah." the boy paused, "i, fuck. im sorry i practically kicked you out. i had a lot of shit on my mind, and i dont know what got to me but i"-

as much as eden wanted him to continue, she just wanted whatever 'this' was to be over, "its okay."

"i fucked up." dream continued, "oh, really?"

"yeah, i know how shit can be sometimes, no worries. i just missed you clay." edens shoulders relaxed.

"i missed you too vanessa."

the pair both stared at their ceilings, a smile littering on both their faces that they couldn't wipe off. the silence between them was comforting once again.

"talk tomorrow?"

"of course. goodnight nessa."

"goodnight clay."

beeping pulled eden out of her haze, her and clay were friends again, but was friends really what she wanted?

"fuck."
