"What are you doing here, Marcus?" Tanong ko habang naka-upo sa railing ng veranda. "How did you know that this is my room?"

Umayos ng upo si Marcus sa tabi ko.

"I just.. want to talk to you. And about your second question, sinundan ko kayo ng prinsipe ng palasyong 'to kanina."

Tumango ako.

"So? How's your stay here?" Tinitigan nito ang buhok ko at bahagyang hinaplos iyon. "I see. You already belong here. You found your home."

I give him a tight smile. "Yeah. I found my world. This world is great. Though, its facing a slight problem, but I'll handle it." I can't say that I already found my home.

"Good to hear that." He said.

Tumingala ako sa langit at tiningnan ang mga bituin.

Mahabang katahimikan ang namayani saaming dalawa.

"I miss you.." bulong nito na narinig ko.

"You know that you shouldn't be missing me." Mahinang usal ko at nilingon siya.

"I can't help it, Ereese. It's still you.. who's in here.." tinuro nito ang puso niya.

"Soon, it'll be replaced." I said confidently. His mate will replace me in his heart.

"But still, the first beat of my heart belongs to you. This heart of mine loves you more than anyone else in this world." Madamdaming ani nito habang nakatingin saakin.

"Marcus.." I don't know what to say..

It's been two years since we've been this close, since we talked this serious. I was so young back then..

Marcus was the first man, beside my brother, who showed so much love for me. He really treated me like his real queen when I'm still living in their world. But sad to say, when their world didn't accept me, I leave him without saying anything. I know I broke his heart for doing that. But I need to. Dahil kapag nagpaalam ako, paniguradong hindi ko siya kayang iwan at alam ko din pipigilan niya ako. So I did what the best, to be gone without telling him.

"Why can't it just be you?" I heard his voice cracked. "I hate it that I can't have you even though how much I want you!"

Lumapit ako sa kanya at niyakap ito. Binaon nito ang mukha niya sa leeg ko.

"Alam mong hindi pwede 'yan, Marcus. Your mate. You have your mate for you." I said, trying to comfort him.

Humigpik ang yakap nito saakin. "Why do we have that mate thing! It's you that I want! Not my mate!"

"Marcus listen," pinakawalan ko ito sa yakap at sinapo ang mukha niya. "There are things in this world that can't be together. That were not meant to be together. Yes, we met, but that's just how it is. Hanggang doon lang. Don't stuck yourself in me, Marcus. I'll find mine and you'll find yours."

"Pinagtagpo pero hindi tinadhana? Damn it! Ganon ba tayo?" Umayos ito ng upo at tumingala. He laughed bitterly.

Sandaling tumahimik ito habang ako ay nakatingin lang sa kanya.
